Damn, this will murder my computer.
Tell me the truth: Can 260GTX run this?
Saying we're all posting specs and asking how it should run I'll ask too:

I'm going to get med/high saying the computer isn't all that old, but it'd be great to hear that from someone who knows their hardware.
The specs for the game haven't been released yet.
The specs for the game haven't been released yet.
I realise that but I'm guessing people have a good estimate otherwise no one would be posting their specs?
I believe you can run BF3 at least on low with decent resolution if you have anything better than 9800GT, GT240 or HD4670
Wow. all of this quack guessing.
EVERYONE MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION:
MY FELLOW AMERICANS
BATTLEFIELD 3's GRAPHICS WILL NOT BE A GREAT LEAP OVER BAD COMPANY 2's.
GRANTED THEY WILL BE BETTER, AND THE EXTRA DESTRUCTION AND INCREASED MAP SIZES MIGHT TAKE A TOLL, BUT THERE WILL BE NO MAJOR DIFFERENCES.
UNLESS YOU ARE JUST BARELY RUNNING BC2, THEN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RUN BATTLEFIELD 3.
TO PUT YOUR MINDS AT EASE:
IF YOU CAN RUN BAD COMPANY 2 ON HIGH, YOU CAN RUN BATTLEFIELD 3 ON MEDIUM. IF YOU CAN RUN BAD COMPANY 2 ON MEDIUM, YOU CAN RUN BATTLEFIELD 3 ON LOW.
I HOPE THIS HAS CLARIFIED ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE REGARDING THE 'CAN I RUN IT?' QUESTIONS.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE BAD COMPANY 2 THEN I HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA.
THANK YOU,
GOD BLESS YOU,
AND MAY GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

What program is this?
What program is this?
Speccy.
AMERICAN BRAINFART!
Ok. Well. I guess the deportation of the famined and poor to other shores in medieval times was bound to produce accidents like this...
Pro quack science right there bro. Come back when the specs are out.
MY FELLOW AMERICANS
Wait, the forum location thingy says your from Australia... Imposter!
I'm an idiot
MY FELLOW AMERICANS
WHY YES, YES YOU ARE

Please don't
I hope this game will have some German vehicles,
Like the TIGER (helicopter, tank would work too)

Or the Puma
*picture*
Or the LEOPARD 2

Ever noticed how they all have animal names?
Also, I hope we will see some officers in the campaign, hardly see them in video games
Garry you Dummkopf, why did you remove media tags??
This must be the first game for a long time that i am really excited about, can't wait for the release!
Guys I have an I5 2400 4gb ddr3 ram and an gtx 560Ti, will I be able to run it on all lowest?
I hope they make a development kit for it. I would love to work with that type of engine.

They won't. Apparently it's "too complicated" (which is just bullshit but whatever).

On all lowest? You got me worried. :ohdear:
Got a GTX570 myself, along with 4gb ddr ram and i5 2500k at about 3.3ghz. I hope to run it high at least.
And if I must, I could try overclocking the processor a little bit, it has a bigass cooler and all.

As I mentioned earlier, the computing power requirements to make something in Frostbite must be immense. The amount of data in a single light is meant to rival and entire BC2 map. Your home PC would take days, if not weeks to compute that for an entire map. DICE probably used a server farm to compile everything.
It probably isn't the tools themselves being complex, but the process to get things to compile being complex.

I think if I SLI, get double the ram and switch to an I7 I might put a few settings on medium.
The question is why people with a QuadCore have such bottleneck GPUs.
I know personally that I originally had a Ahtlon II x2 2.8 GHz dual core and a 5770, then upgraded to a Phenom X4 II 965 and still have the 5770. Didn't really think about the 5770 bottlenecking it but haven't had the chance to upgrade yet.

You have a 2500k, and you've NOT OVERCLOCKED IT?
GODDAMNIT MAN GO TO 5 GHZ NOW.
DO IT FUCKING NOW
When I read your post I was like:

Why buy a 2500k if you won't even tinker with it?

Not everybody is quite comfortable with overclocking you know. I bought a 955BE and I haven't touched the clocks at all, even though I know I can get it to around 4GHz when I finally buy a new cooler. I just don't trust myself with it right now.
I want night maps. I hope there are night maps.

Because it's not needed yet?
Anyone else think I should upgrade my GPU before this game comes out?
Intel i5 @ 3.2
8GB RAM
Radeon HD 5670
I need a job.

heh, our computers are almost equal. except I have a better gpu while your cpu is better
[editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
I tried to overclock my Phenom II 940, but I need to learn how to do it better as I failed
I know personally that I originally had a Ahtlon II x2 2.8 GHz dual core and a 5770, then upgraded to a Phenom X4 II 965 and still have the 5770. Didn't really think about the 5770 bottlenecking it but haven't had the chance to upgrade yet.
Well i'm sitting with a single 560-TI and a Q9550 at stock and i'm still pretty sure that the GPU is going to be the bottleneck in the future.
I want night maps. I hope there are night maps.
Well, it looks like there'll be daytime variations of the maps.
