What I really like about P4F is that you can actually keep yourself geared up by playing like 5 rounds a day, instead of Ca, where oyu had to be playing hours and hours to get anything resembling good gear, and evn then you'd get fucked by NX whores.
You have a 2500k, and you've NOT OVERCLOCKED IT?
GODDAMNIT MAN GO TO 5 GHZ NOW.
DO IT FUCKING NOW
When I read your post I was like:

Why buy a 2500k if you won't even tinker with it?
i'm afraid it might blow up.
though i gotta look into that at some point I guess. it's running at about 30 celsius on idle too.
I even got a Corsair H60 to cool down my 940 so I could overclock, only went down about 5 celsius...
which I guess is good for where I live, its usually hot
On Panama Canal, I killed a sniper ontop of a building and stole his kit so I could try at picking off a couple of guys.
Then a medic came up the stairs from behind and started shooting at me, I jumped off the roof and at the same time shot at the medic. I got a headshot as I was falling off the building :v:
Do people still play battlefield 2 for pc because i might buy the complete collection from steam. Also is it worth it? Thanks
Guys I have an I5 2400 4gb ddr3 ram and an gtx 560Ti, will I be able to run it on all lowest?
I hope you're joking, because seeing as it's also coming out on consoles you could run it fine on medium with a 2.2ghz dual-core, 2GB ram and a 8800gt.
Unless Treyarch takes over the PC version, that is.

Yes, and yes, and mods rock for it.
I heard there's a fuckload of people still play-
Ninjazorz.
I know the pictures they are showing are pre-alpha. But I really hope they keep the same atmosphere as Battlefield 2's Karkand. The fog really added to the gameplay and strategic advantages/disadvantages of the map. If you ask me, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Purely opinion though!

You do understand that none of the consoles possess a measly 2.2 GHz dualcore processor? The CPUs in the consoles used to be beast and can still be considered mid-high end today. We're talking Power5 and Cell architecture at 3.2GHz. The REAL bottleneck in the consoles is the GPU and lack of any notable RAM.

Uhh no. the 360's processor was good back then, but it's been low-medium since 2008 and today it's pretty darn bad. The Cell was a supercomputer only according to Sony (yeah sure "BUT IT HAS A LOT OF UNTAPPED POWER!!!1" but that doesn't really matter since it's untapped).
[editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
I mean seriously you can't be telling me that the 360's tri-core is mid-high end today.

The 360's processor is equivalent to something from 2007 I'm sure of it. The only reason games can run anywhere near the quality they can is because it is a stable environment. Unlike a PC you don't have to factor a dick ton of hardware, making it very easy to make a game that works.
Though DICE aren't massive douchenozzles and they know how much BF3 means to us, the 560Ti and i5 rig up there would run it on high just because it is good hardware, not because the game is being fucked over.

Look man, There's being logical and then there's "it's just impossible because it is!" Yes it's from 2006-7. But have you looked up the Architecture. There's no way in all hell ANY dual-core PC processor rival those CPUs. I can agree that they don't hold a candle to any quad-cores at all or even most tri-cores, but equating a 2.2GHz Dual-core CPU to a Tri-Core PowerPC 3.2GHz CPU is retarded no matter what year we're counting and how much newer that Dual-Core is. It's not insta-bad just because it's part of a seriously unbalanced Hardware composition. It's not pure shit and hot air when Most PS3 exclusive developers dump a TON of the usually GPU designated workload on the Cell. It's because it's got substantially more kicking space than the GPU.
THE CPUs are mid-end. NOT the consoles. They're low as fuck.
Wrong, it's going to be out the same time as the game.
No, its not. DICE have stated multiple times that it will be released a few months after. Learn to listen and read before stating people wrong.

That weapon list is not player equipment. Weapons like the DHSK and the KORD are deployed guns. Same with the mark 19 and the M2HB.
All your guys are posting fantastic gaming PC's while I need to build a new computer really badly
I have:

I'm browsing fp and my GPU is at 70C, this GPU is dying and its getting outdated, the CPU works but for gaming it doesn't really cut it anymore, and it's a shitty pre-built i got awhile ago. I really need to build a new computer overall.

The guys in the PC building subforum could probably slap together a great PC for a decent price (~$500 for something that runs most games).

I already got a new PC build ready to order in my Newegg cart for $750(Around $680 after Mail & Rebate), I just need to get the money.
would this be able to run battlefield 3 good?
I hope this game will have some German vehicles,
Like the TIGER (helicopter, tank would work too)

Or the Puma
*picture*
Or the LEOPARD 2

Ever noticed how they all have animal names?
Also, I hope we will see some officers in the campaign, hardly see them in video games
Garry you Dummkopf, why did you remove media tags??
Apple made them.
My GTX 460 melted today, I was going to SLI it for BF3 because it would have been nice and cheap. Oh well, time to grab something stupidly expensive! :v:

Now I'm stuck with my old HD4870...
Edit: yes I'm well aware that my CPU isn't overclocked, I'm waiting to get a decent cooler for it first.

Oh dear, I was thinking of getting a GTX 460, but I've been hearing that it overheats/fails after a few months, should i get it or get something else?

Its a good card when it works, but just save a little extra money for a GTX 500 series or HD6800/6900 series.
My 460 has been amazingly fine and runs every game on max.

Well I do want to lower the price of the build I'm going to make, how is the ATI Radeon HD 6850?
Well I do want to lower the price of the build I'm going to make, how is the ATI Radeon HD 6850?
The HD6870 is basically the exact same price in most cases and offers a satisfying boost in performance over the HD6850.

Aah, GTX 460 or Radeon 6850?

Alright, I'll get that instead of the 6850
Battlefield 3 v4: Can I Run It?
I hope the Back to Karkland expansion is available for all pre-orders no matter the site. I don't know if they said that or not.
The GTX 460 has been an amazing card for the price. Though I did invest in the MSi Cyclone model, which is one of the best air cooled cards out in that series, but I've never heard of many people having issues with the 460 otherwise.
If only I had the money and motherboard for a second.
