Would it be cool if, when you die, you see yourself fall to the ground in first person?
I thought they did this in the BC2 beta and it fucked up royally because the arms would be buggy as shit?

gotta love that little dig at Call of Duty Elite :)
Don't know if it's been posted, but they are showing BF3 multiplayer at E3.

Motherfucking ninja fuck
I don't like the sound of Team Deathmatch.
I don't like the sound of Team Deathmatch.
Obligatory DONT PLAY IT.
Special edition from EA origin is going to be stupid. No doubt it will come with something exlusive, but won't come with the Warfare Pack.
Oh wow "temporarily disable vehicles, go prone, mount weapons, lay down suppressive fire" those sound awesome. I hope they are for multiplayer and not just singleplayer.
I don't like the sound of Team Deathmatch.
Why not?
The original BF1942 and BF:V both had TDM.

That's good. Seriously. No exclusive weapon means easier choice from where to buy.

Its not the bottom of the Mag, watch him put it in, the bottom of the Mag has a black guard or something thing on it.
All that image shows is that MW3 is using new and incomplete assets in its trailer, since MW1 and 2 mags had bullets.

Burn Activision, buuuurrrrrn.
It worries me however that they keep on announcing features that make it closer and closer to a Call of Duty game i.e. "At the same time, we are also able to create more intense close-quarter combat than ever before. The multiplayer map, “Operation Métro,” "the introduction of Team Death Match mode"

Theres always been a variety of ways to play BF. Theres always been intense close combat, but only on those types of maps. Karkand, Sharqi and Mashtuur (I miss that map) all had close quarter combat, karkand in particular.

What's wrong with a range of environments? CQC always seemed lacking in BF2 (grenade spam everywhere); hopefully BF3 improves upon that aspect.
As for TDM mode, it's not like we have to play it or they are removing Conquest (if they did, well... they won't); variety is good, the same old same old gets boring after a lot of play time.
Quite frankly, I don't see anything that would make BF3 worse.
Also, @ that BF3/MW3 mag comparison picture: Aside from the missing bullet, BF3 general looks better (imo); which in itself is telling.
I suppose those are some fair points. I just think it's puzzling having a TDM mode in a game which is TDM anyway.
Snip late.
This thread makes me want to load up BF2 and play all night on Karkand with my trusty RPK.
I mean TDM will probably take a big role of eSport and Gameplay commentaries becuase people want to watch intense 15 minute fights instead of 40 minute tactical gameplay.
If you don't like it, don't play it but I'm sure alot of people will like it.
When playing BC2 I sometimes turned it off, played some intense MW2 for about 10 minutes then got back to BC2, and now we can have that in BF3
Dunno, DICE tried that on Mirror's Edge and it looked rubbish, most of the time the camera ended up in a floating position.
I liked BF2's 'flat on your back' view when you were shot, seeing the planes and choppers going past as you waited for a medic.
It worked ok in Crysis. Though Crysis didn't show the arms so that could be an issue.
Weapon jamming was cool in Far Cry 2, wish they let you clean/repair the weapon instead of just throwing it out.
If it were to be included in BF3 SP I think weapon jamming should happen more with enemy weapons to encourage people to stick with the weapon they're given.
The Problem with that is detracts from the re-playability. If you use the same gun every time because it doesn't jam up there's much less verity and playing it again seems dull.

Those people are cancer in gaming. It's thanks to them and their "0mG so comp fr4GzZZ" that most shooters are all the same.

You know it's funny, people always love mentioning how "intense" fast-paced military shooters are, as if that's their defining characteristic when compared to the slower-paced counterparts, yet in my experience, I've always found the latter ones like ArmA and Ghost Recon 1 to be utterly jolting once you found yourself in the middle of a skirmish after a long trek.
I don't know about you, but I don't like the idea of constantly shooting for 15 minutes. That, in my opinion, feels boring. I like having to wait for the action. And while the concept of delayed gratification applied inside a videogame of all things (which is yet another form of gratification after all) might appear weird at first, consider the element of suspense that's applied in other forms of entertainment such as movies and books.

I rather enjoy not knowing when or where a unknown number of enemies of a unknown organizational level will attack. I kind of like Battlefield for that, as if you stick with your squad and run around capturing conquest flags you could be ambushed at any given time. It adds a feeling of "oh shit" and makes it so much more intense than running around like a headless chicken.

I know pretty late, but don't pick parts until the day you order them.

Also I played Battlefield Play4Free a lot the past weeks. They give out free trial codes for the purchasable weapons which is nice. However, it's really not that hard to woop ass with the regular weapons, even the default/starter ones. It's far from a grindfest too. I have both my soldiers near the level cap of 20.

I agree.... Probably one of the reason I love Project Reality. I have gone up to an hour during some games while moving across the map. Knowing a massive gun fight can break out at any minute is pretty stressful. That and people listen to hold fire orders.

Project reality is either: intense firefights and lots of teamwork after traveling for a bit or sitting around for 4 hours not doing shit

That's the thing about BF3, by the sounds of it they're giving us the choice to either jump into a firefight or play the old school BF way, which is fine by me. The one thing I always want a game company to give us is choice.
