I dont know why the couldn't at least try that. MAG (as mediocre as it was) did 256 players on the PS3, most PC games have trouble doing that even today. With BF2 being the only FPS I know that can even attempt it.

didn't Joint Operations had like 100-150 players? (the game came 2004) 64 players are fine, I don't see why you need more.

From what I have seen in the 128 player server in PR, more than 64 can be a massive clusterfuck if you don't have good teammates. And the 128 player server is full of idiots most of the time

I'm not saying 64 players is a bad thing. As MAG showed, organising a 128 man team is a nightmare if your squadron leaders are imbeciles. But the fact that the console release doesn't get 64 players would kind of remove the battlefield from Battlefield. Which is a shame they will miss out on the proper BF experience. And none of that "peec master raec XDXD shud hav got PC version" shit. Not everybody has a decent enough computer to run this beast.

Without a set command system in place (even then as mag showed there can still be problems) it can end up badly. Luckily PR has a VERY good player base, and most people have a mic. Also it is one of the few games I know where people are content actually transporting people and supplies around not seeing any combat. It really depends on how good the community is that forms from BF3. Console in some ways remains better smaller as there is less communication among players.

Hopefully I can get a better amp and a few more speakers to get 7.1 working before this game comes out. Though computer upgrades will probably take priority.

I've never had an actual "good" headset, mostly just stuff that comes along that I use. Does it really make a difference?

BC2 sounds amazing in surround. You [B]know[/B] BF3 will blow you away with the sound.

The mic in my headset is broken. The sound works great, they're great headphones, is it better to just get a standalone mic? I really want to get the most out of this game.
