something i noticed in that multiplayer trailer, at the part with the guy with the M249, it says "Kill Assist" and right under that it says "Suppress Bonus" [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] also, at the end where the debris falls and the guy dies, it says he was killed by an M67 frag grenade, so i dunno about the debris killing people
Rush would be fine as long as the objectives are far enough away from each other (pretty damn far) and there isn't much line of sight between them (so you have to choose to defend one or the other). The first part of the Metro trailer looks like it's fairly narrow (the park doesn't look that wide) but I hope like hell it's not.
Well he wasn't exactly right under the falling debris either, so we can't come to that conclusion yet. [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] It would be kinda silly if a large amount of debris fell ontop of you and you're completely unhurt.
Flame tanks, is what it needs. Yeah that would be awesome...
dice are really listening this time rund!
Only thing I didn't like was that it seemed the tank he was in had health regen? Can somebody let me know otherwise, like is there regenerating health in MP? I didn't see a health bar. I wouldn't mind it if it was really slow like Deus Ex.
Only thing I didn't like was that it seemed the tank he was in had health regen?
honestly, i think he was playing in god mode for the event, just so he didn't die and what not
have they implemented leaning back into the game with Q+E ?
honestly, i think he was playing in god mode for the event, just so he didn't die and what not
Maybe the rounds just didn't penetrate. :colbert: That was a joke at first, but I think it would actually be really awesome. Armor actually stopping rounds from penetrating! Tanks and other vehicles in previous Battlefield games always felt weak and vulnerable, not the (somewhat) impenetrable beasts they really were.

I just...can't believe how exciting this Mulitplayer trailer was. There's nothing Call of Duty can Battlefield challenge with, maybe just with little kids.
Sorry if this was asked before but.. They aren't going to release any modding tools? Is this correct?
:w00t: This game engine can go for 20 years easily. Oh my god. Can't wait for battlefield 3 optimizations and specs.
Sorry if this was asked before but.. They aren't going to release any modding tools? Is this correct?
They're not planning on releasing MOD-tools on launch, but they are not outruling the possibility of it later.
:w00t: This game engine can go for 20 years easily. Oh my god. Can't wait for battlefield 3 optimizations and specs.
Don't kid yourself. The same thing was said about the BF2 engine and look where we are a few years later.
I've been very skeptical of this recently. But if modelled tank interiors are in MP then most of what i've said is forgiven.
You know I haven't seen anybody say anything about it, but I noticed it as soon as the demo started... Did anyone else realize that the very first sound in the Thunder Run is the very first sound from the Battlefield 1942 intro? The... Pretty sure it's a violin from the intro theme. See?
I like how the 1942 intro (using CGI graphics, not real gameplay) looks worse than the graphics there is in BF3. It's what 10 years does to gaming :v:
Okay DICE, seriously, stop joking around, show us some real gameplay not these videos you filmed in an abandoned metro :psyboom: my automerge
Don't kid yourself. The same thing was said about the BF2 engine and look where we are a few years later.
Yeah, people still play BF2.
Most will disagree with me, but I watched the entire trailer for this game, and not one thing jumped at me from it saying. (CoD hasn't done this yet)
Lets see. - The destructability that is in the FB2 engine. - Ermm...vehicles? No, on rails sections with no control over the vehicles movement does not count. (Even black ops chopper level was basically a corridor of mountains) - Multiplayer vehicles? - The huge scale and detail of maps - The award winning and incredible audio effects (BC2's sound BLEW me away, and this sounds even better) - The fluid and transitional animation system thats straight from EA's sports titles - Squad and team based multiplayer gameplay that also rewards teamwork and helping others (all of COD's 'team' based modes are really just deathmatch with players doing their own thing while not be able to kill half of the other players due to being on their team) Plus im sure many other things I cant remember off the top of my head. [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] Im really hoping they implement an ability to fast rope from choppers in multiplayer. I remember seeing it in a beta video somewhere for BF2, then it was never seen in the full product.
I want Battlerecorder back :colbert:

Aha! I have gained complete proof that this is in fact video recordings ant not proper gameplay footage It clearly states that DICE is pulling a hoax. Mystery solved. Another case solved by Cap'n Legolas :smug:
Bring back the mufugging commo-rose.

And the game is still Pre-Alpha, so alot of things can change before beta/release.
And the game is still Pre-Alpha, so alot of things can change before beta/release.
Still got time to add RC cars!
Wait we're going to be able to play against bots like in BF2 right? If conquest is online multiplayer only then I'm gonna kill myself.
I hope RolliePollie is a bot name [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] Because that name makes me laugh
