But the soldier's thing was a a normal heal, not temporary, wasn't it?
Yeah I remember running around with it on the demo healing myself constantly like some kind of steroid abusing tank with a puny gun.
I take offense to that. Cod Will not beat battlefields sales because of kids. They will beat battlefields sales because CoD is the best overall game there is. Action-packed storyline,crisp-graphics,and the fact that CoD accounts for more then half of all x box live players. Battlefield is a simple foot-note in comparison.
There, can you guys get on topic now without replying to him with witty images or comments.
Yay! Also, I saw a video on youtube last night that was over the shoulder of a guy playing Operation Metro at E3. It showed a lot of stuff like full body awareness, prone, and the bipod system. I'll see if I can find it again. The audio was really quiet but it sounded like the enthusiastic voice actors from BC2 are back. I'm happy about that one, I liked those voices.
I respect DICE for wanting to just make a really high quality, mature combat simulator. I don't mean to perpetuate the flaming but it looks like CoD really wants to be an action movie.
yeah the battle chatter is great in BC2, although I was a bit disappointed that they didn't do new voice-work for Vietnam's American forces, the Vietnamese stuff was great. Most importantly I appreciate the non-stop cursing like a sailor thats ******* a Vietnamese *****. Too buku! Too buku!
The chatter in Medal Of Honor was actually really good, too bad the game sucked. Hopefully they have as much active chatter like that in BF3.

Battlefield 3 may be many things, but it's not by any means a simulator
The animations are so smooth :byodood:
You played the demo at E3?
Bad Company 1 my boy :v: I don't have the time or money to go to E3.
what I meant to say was give the player something like pills (bc1 epee pen)
Giving the individual player pills would be bad because then they wouldn't have to wait for their health to regen in a safe area, while giving the medic the pills would be useless since they're supposed to heal normally.
Does everyone here think that Battlefield 3 will feel like a true sequel to Battlefield 2.
fixed
I usually play battlefield as a way to get a break from playing CoD, but i find myself playing less and less of battlefield because of By the time Battlefield 2 is loaded, has FOUND a server that hasn't become overcrowded before I have joined, has synched up, downloaded the mission, verified that I'm playing with a hacked / cheating copy of the game - half the time I've devoted to taking a break playing a game is GONE. So I keep finding myself putting some other "quick fix" disc in the drive. Heck, I can even jump into City of Heroes, pulp a few bad guys, and maybe even finish a mission during those blocks of time. Why can't I jump into a Battlefield 2 game the same way? If BF2 wasn't such a resource hog, it might be tolerable just to leave it minimized while I continue to work away (or surf the web) until it's done doing all it's loading, synching, and validation. You can try to deny it but you all know it is true.
How is this connected to BF3, though? It's not even on the same engine anymore.
I didn't finish the reply correctly I was meaning to put i hope that bf3 does not have the same problems that bf2 had.
I'm hoping health regen isn't instant seeing as there is a health bar.
I'm hoping health regen isn't instant seeing as there is a health bar.
That would be game breaking considering how gameplay in Battlefield games are usually played out.

Anyone got a vid/gif for that those escalator/stair animations? I want to see them agaiN!
Not sure if this has been posted before; So you can get killed by falling debris, apparently. In the trailer it looked like it, but the text said he got killed by a grenade. So this means I've either been mislead, or the kill-text will say which weapon caused the debris to fall. I hope you guys understand what I mean. Good night.
The pre-order collectors edition comes with 4 extra pairs of underwear.
Does everyone here think that Battlefield 3 will feel like a true sequel to Battlefield 2.
I doubt it actually, but it'll likely still be great.

Thankfully matches were like 4 hours ong.

Also, minimizing the game while loading it just slows it down.

And slightly sad about the regenerative health but if it works okay like only regenerating the half of your life instead of the whole 100% it should be good.
I found some info on the BF UK forums that regen health wont work while in a firefight, if you keep firing or are being suppressed it wont regen.
