BF3's going to cost me around 800€ due to the upgrades I'll need. The Battlefield series is the only series I've upgraded my PC for. First 2142 and now BF3 [editline]9th June 2011[/editline]
Huh, you're right that P90 doesn't have any sights on it. Maybe it phased through like the magazine. lmao
none of the weapons have sights in their world models yet, I think the game is actually in alpha
Has anyone posted the system requirements yet? If not: http://www.gamefront.com/battlefield-3-system-requirements/ Edit: Possible fake!!
So pumped for jets in multiplayer. Anyone think they'll work well on a console?

I doubt it, the game is coming out this november and if i remember correctly, they've been working on it for several years. Also I have a Radeon HD 6800... Just just just below the recommended system requirements. Ah well, it'll do.
Recommended 6850? Yikes.. I wasn't even thinking of upgrading, but now..
Has anyone posted the system requirements yet? If not: http://www.gamefront.com/battlefield-3-system-requirements/
This is what I was talking about. Even with a new build, my graphics card wouldn't meet recommended requirements. The 6850 is significantly better than the 5770. Looks like I might be looking for a new video card too...
Has anyone posted the system requirements yet? If not: http://www.gamefront.com/battlefield-3-system-requirements/
Considering the first gameplay footage was running off a 580, recommending a 460 ain't that bad.
Has anyone posted the system requirements yet? If not: http://www.gamefront.com/battlefield-3-system-requirements/
It supports DX11? Sweet. [editline]9th June 2011[/editline] And why is the digital version 5GB less?
It supports DX11? Sweet. [editline]9th June 2011[/editline] And why is the digital version 5GB less?
It goes up to 11. Anyways I'm surprised that the only part of my computer below the specs is my graphics card. Hopefully I'll be able to play it at medium/high. Also is there any news on what security it has? I'll be pissed if it still has punkbuster. [editline]9th June 2011[/editline] Nevermind they're supposedly fake.
Why is that? Do you have any proof?
It looks like they're advertising it as only on origin, so I'm not expecting it to come on Steam. If this is false and I am wrong and it does come on Steam, then this is misleading. But in this case I hope I am wrong, because otherwise I'll have to buy it retail whereas I'd much prefer to get it on Steam.

Steam might get the standard edition.
It's not coming to steam. EA said so in a release not too long ago.
They might be restricting the limited edition/Pre-order exclusives to Origin. It's giving off the impression that Battlefield 3 will only be on origin and I'm hoping that isn't the case. The actual page if anyone is interested: http://store.origin.com/store/eaemea/en_GB/html/pbPage.BF3_EN/
It's not coming to steam. They are really pushing hard on Origin as the "EA" platform for PC games.
Should I wait for BF3 or get MW now that it's 50% off? I've heard good things about MW but BF3 seems pretty promising to be honest.
Has anyone posted the system requirements yet? If not: http://www.gamefront.com/battlefield-3-system-requirements/
Sweet, I have a quad, 4 gigs of ram and a relatively small resolution of 1440 x 900, so all I should need is a new GPU. My 9800GTX is getting a long a bit.
I pre-ordered my copy from EA the day they started pre-orders (February 4th). But they still haven't charged my card yet :colbert: then they tell me they wont charge it till the day it comes out.

If it is not coming to steam, I guess I'll get it retail.
There goes my hope for integrated steam support and VAC. :frown:
I don't feel like buying this if I'll be forced to use this Origin shit with it, retail or not. It's slowly becoming a hype for every game publisher to make their own 'platform' for their games, and sorry I don't like running 5 different cpu raping programs all doing the same steam can do just so I can play all my games.
I don't like running 5 different cpu raping programs all doing the same steam can do just so I can play all my games.
I think someone said earlier in the thread you run games downloaded from Origin without having Origin open.
I guess there will be a Steam version of BF3.
You can do the same with some Third Party steam games, but the list seems to be shrinking. [editline]9th June 2011[/editline] My Automerge

You are only charged on release in case the price goes down (it will never go up for pre orders).
You won't have money for a game again for months?
I've got money, but buying them both at the same time just isn't going to work for me, man.
I'm thinking only the limited edition is exclusive on Origin.
Good thing I don't give a shit about the Exclusive bonus
But Strike at Karkand map pack is a must for me :saddowns:
