Was watching Gamekings and they got a premier on BF3! Console will have max 24 man Thats all :downs:
I've got money, but buying them both at the same time just isn't going to work for me, man.
Few months apart isn't really the same time? Anyway, to answer the question, if you can wait, definitely BF3.
Best multiplayer 2011/12/13. Singleplayer will be Skyrim.
I haven't seen any technological advancements in Skyrim. In the end, it's just another sequel in the age of gaming. At least hand it to BF3 for laying down the most extraordinary visuals and physics.
Oh snap, 460 for recommended? I have a 480 :ohdear:
Oh snap, 460 for recommended? I have a 480 :ohdear:
According to the comments on that page the requirements are made up. Wither there's truth in that I dunno though.
Might not coming to steam? Well, as long as there is no shitty punkbuster shit, I'll buy this. I've been a loyal fan to the Battlefield series since 1942, and ever since BF2 and BC2, I promised myself that if it has punkbuster, I would have a 99% chance of NEVER buying another Battlefield game, ever. PB is just that shitty.
It's not coming to steam. EA said so in a release not too long ago.
Well this will ruin their sales.
It WILL come to steam. Not only has it been confirmed to be coming to steam but WHY would they not put it on steam. They're giving as much of a gap between Origin BF3 release and Steam release because they benefit the most from people buying it from origin cause they're impatient.

Holy fuck EA, I already have EADM, why do you want me to get Origin too.
Holy fuck EA, I already have EADM, why do you want me to get Origin too.
Same thing, EADM updates to Origin
I wonder if the campaign would be deep within the character(s), because of the dinosaur figuring Miller was holding.
EADM isn't that bad though, 11MB/s instead of 50KB/s. But i really want all my games on steam now.

I hope you are right and it does come to Steam otherwise I'll probably purchase it on Origin and that means I have to deal with another client in addition to Steam.
I've pre-ordered a physical copy :)
Me too, I was going to for a long time but never got around to it. Can't wait for release.
Origins looks so clean and pretty [editline]10th June 2011[/editline] Oh cool Origins sell games with Singaporean Dollars. Its much cheaper than steam Now I don't know if I'm going to buy it on Origins or Steam :psyduck:
Origins looks so clean and pretty
Steam looks clean and pretty :colbert:
Where was it confirmed? I hope you are right and it does come to Steam otherwise I'll probably purchase it on Origin and that means I have to deal with another client in addition to Steam.
It was confirmed in a forum post by a EA support person on the eaUK forums.
I don't feel like buying this if I'll be forced to use this Origin shit with it, retail or not. It's slowly becoming a hype for every game publisher to make their own 'platform' for their games, and sorry I don't like running 5 different cpu raping programs all doing the same steam can do just so I can play all my games.
I said this earlier but not many people noticed, apparently. Origin, unlike Steam, DOES NOT require you to have it running in order to play the games you bought with it. Origin is used to download, install, and activate the game. After that, you can start the game up whenever you want without booting up Origin. And one more time just for good measure. GAMES DO NOT REQUIRE ORIGIN TO BE RUNNING BEFORE YOU CAN PLAY THEM. ORIGIN IS USED TO DOWLOAD, INSTALL, AND ACTIVATE GAMES. AFTER THAT, YOU CAN PLAY THE GAME WITHOUT USING ORIGIN. Not saying Origin is amazing or anything, I prefer Steam just like most people, but everyone seems to think it's just going to be taking up CPU power for no reason. Even if you did have to keep it open, Origin is extremely streamlined and uses up way less CPU power than Steam.
Well good, false alarm then. Steam all the way, even if I don't get Karkand for free. I'm getting Karkand even if it's another 30$, those maps are worth it for the sheer nostalgia factor.
Steam looks clean and pretty :colbert:
I agree but steam is basically a website inside the program and it would be much better to code a separate, nicely looking client.
It was confirmed in a forum post by a EA support person on the eaUK forums.
You wouldn't have a link handy would you? I tried looking quickly but turned up nothing. I remember purchasing BF2 a while back from the EA Store and if I remember correctly they would only allow me to download it within a the first year of purchase unless I paid some fee in which case you would extend the period a year. One of the reasons I like Steam so much is simply because of the sales. Chances are when expansion packs are released for BF3 if I don't pick them up on release I will be able to get them at a much cheaper price in 6 months or so. I rarely see the EA store with better sales than Steam. However, maybe with the introduction of Origin they'll change their business strategies and have more competitive sales.
That is what all pre orders do. You are only charged on release in case the price goes down (it will never go up for pre orders).
well in that case I bought it when it was still $50 for PC :P
So use origin to download BF3, then add the game to steam? will that work?
So use origin to download BF3, then add the game to steam? will that work?
Theoretically, yes.
So use origin to download BF3, then add the game to steam? will that work?
Of course. Works for everything else. But yeah, if it doesn't come to Steam I'll just get a retail copy. Hell, I might get a retail copy anyway to add to my physical Battlefield collection
tbh I'm just happy its on some sort of download service. I don't have room for game cases anymore
"Origin International has moved to www.originintl.com." I wonder how much EA paid them for the domain name.
man Bad Company 2 is so cheap on Origins too bad I still don't have a new Computer yet :smithicide:
