War Power.
It exist, but as far as my knowledge goes, you usually will get your ass biten out by your CO, because it eats fuel like a bitch.
Is that to reach 42, or to go over?
Could you explain the idea better, because I have never heard of an Abrams boosting.

It's not really boosting, it's most likely going at full throttle because the regular movement is probably only going at a fraction of that.

It simply has a limiter installed on the engine that keeps it from going at maximum power.
With the engine governor removed, speeds of around 60 mph (97 km/h) are possible on an improved surface; however, damage to the drive train (especially to the tracks) and an increased risk of injuries to the crew can occur at speeds above 45 mph (72 km/h).
I like my theory better, if you watch the thunder run video and look closely at the speedometre the tank goes at 30-40 kph in normal speed, boost speed is about 50 kph, which is the maximum off-road speed while governed.
I guess that works.
The classes are pretty much the 2142 classes.
I felt that the 2142 classes were the most balanced compared to the other games. Then again, I played 2142 first and BF2 later.
I always thought it was weird they gave medics LMG's in Bad Company, and them losing those is one of the best changes IMO.

Well that makes sense.
Considering most vehicles aren't really meant to be operated at full throttle all the time. Do you drive your car with your foot slammed down all the way? I don't think guys operate military vehicles that way either. It makes sense that pushing the forward key causes you to drive at an optimal combat speed whereas the "boost" is the equivalent of going full-throttle.
2142 definitely feels better balanced than BC/BC2/BF2. The only gripe I have with 2142 is that nobody really plays engineer online so a single vehicle can pin down a whole squad of guys pretty easily. I did manage to get into an amazing squad earlier, the SL stayed in a dropship and did rounds, coordinating drops with us and whatnot. We earned best squad honors and I earned best in the class/best with the LMG honors. It was really invigorating, I hope BF3 really promotes teamwork like that.
The underwater part in MW3 didn't look it even had any gameplay, it just looked like the player simply had to go forward all the time. Where is the fun in that?
That's why I specifically said the submarine part, not the underwater part. Reading is fun too.

Uh, what submarine part? I only saw some diving, a boat chase and a part in the city in the demos.

One of my biggest mistakes was not putting much points into engineer. As soon as you get one on your squad with a Pilum AVR with a support and medic to keep him (and the rest of the squad) running you can pretty much move from one point to another on foot and kill the shit out of everything.
I don't usually play squad leader, but when I do I give frequent orders and always go as assault so I can revive my teammates. I always run with the buggy and drop of squadmates at tanks and walkers and then go forward and spot their targets. Eventually my entire squad stops wandering the map and follows me all the time. I remember one time where they waited next to a buggy just so I could get in the drivers seat :v:
It was so cool, because I've never met these guys before and we talked only via the commo rose, which is another reason why we need to keep it. People on random servers aren't used to having a squad leader that's very involved, mostly they just run with some guy that made a squad for the points.
Yeah I didn't play engineer at all and now thats the last class I have to unlock stuff with. I liked support, heartbeat sensor + shotgun = duck hunt. Unfortunately I cannot find my disks.
Oh dear, day 1 unlocks and exclusive weapons ahoy:

Edit: Didn't think I was late, sorry about that.
So one of the devs said that Rush will not host 64 players due to it being a clusterfuck game mode and the EA forum are having a massive bitch fest about it. I really don't care about the choice, it makes sense. I don't mind Conquest (as of now) being the only 64 player game mode. Eventually it'd be 32 players rushing one area and that wouldn't end well.
hehehe, they're threatening to stop playing battlefield games. God, that forum is annoying. :V
Don't people realize that they made those kinds of decisions through internal playtesting? If it wasn't fun when they tried it in studio then it won't be fun when you play it in the final product.

Their reasoning is "Dice is lazy :downs:"
Oh just realised that the physical warfare pack includes Back to Karkand, sweet.
I mean the true battlefield experience is too be had on 64 player Conquest with Jets.
Rush and TDM will probably be good but nothing comes near that.
Are the BC2 servers down?

Is this worth getting?

I acually find Squad DM very good in BC2 because it's more man on man i really hate snipers they ruin the game for me on conquest i do not mind being owned by a chopper / tank / w/e but snipers are jus the worse
If you preorder BF3 right now, regardless of anywhere you get it, it will automatically be upgraded to the Limited Edition of BF3, which includes the Back to Karkand pack by default, but not much else.
However, that pack won't be available at launch, as it's coming out a few weeks/months later. It's pretty much a free guarantee that you will get that pack no matter what when it gets released, for no additional cost.
If you're on the fence, I'd recommend preordering at Amazon (personal preference). That way you make the preorder, free, and you at least hold that Limited Edition BF3 order until you fully decide what you want to do. There's really no reason not to - you're saving money if you do.
Well I've preordered in April from EA store. Just have a feeling that I will get fuck all since I'm in Russia. EA support seems to be pretty understanding though, I remember getting BC2 DLC for free so I'm going to count on that.
Just preordered yesterday, now it can't come fast enough :v:
Considering it comes free if you preorder from game or gamestation yes. But that preorder is exclusive to the UK.

Maybe if you read you won't end up asking stupid questions.
