The past attempts at a Single Player were, to be honest, pretty shitty. BC2's was ok, but the enemies suffered from FarCry syndrome, where-as they could spot you through trees, dust, smoke, and buildings and were laser-pointer accurate. But BF3's Single Player looks good so far, hell it looks fucking amazing. Here's hoping they have a Jet level, and they fucking better have a Jet level.
I'm not either, I love a single player aspect to screw around in. Hope it isn't like BFBC or BC2's, they were awful campaigns.
I liked them :(
I would love to see more arcade-style single player modes, such as a survival mode where you hold out on one control point, ala Section 8 Prejudice's swarm.
Just got back into BF:BC2 I remembered how much fun I used to have :buddy: Run up hill with a bro (him medic me engi) to get to some snipers to help them. Helicopter bombs them just as I pull out mah rocket launchair. Fire once, delayed explosion, destroy the choppa. I felt like a boss after that. [editline]13th June 2011[/editline] They should add a video service like in COD or TF2 or something like that.
Looking forward to this, I still haven't completed BC2 story mode yet. [editline]13th June 2011[/editline] I've got back into it, the saiga with slugs is damn awesome
EA has said there are more to come. You guys can be blind fanboys if you want, but I'll be a dignified consumer who isn't going to have corners cut from his game because EA wants to make a quick buck.
lmao people are right when they call PC gamers spoilt douchebags. There is this thing called making money, pre-order exclusives are a good way of doing that. Fucking deal with it. For the record I am a PC gamer.
Here's hoping they have a Jet level, and they fucking better have a Jet level.
That would be godly.
Here's hoping they have a Jet level, and they fucking better have a Jet level.
Seeing as there is one in the trailer I'm pretty sure there will be.
DLC questions answered. http://blogs.battlefield.ea.com/battlefield_bad_company/archive/2011/06/13/physical-warfare-pack-and-back-to-karkand-questions-answered.aspx
Q: Is the Physical Warfare Pack available in all regions, or just in the UK? A: It will be available worldwide at select retailers. It was first announced in the UK. Exact details for other countries and retailers will be announced at a later date. Q: Will Physical Warfare Pack imbalance the game? A: The three exclusive items in the Physical Warfare Pack were specifically chosen not to be overpowered or imbalance or break the game in any way. Q: Why do I want the Physical Warfare Pack? A: Owning these items will give you a more varied arsenal, but it will not give you a significant advantage on the battlefield. Q: Is the Back to Karkand expansion pack exclusive to pre-orders? A: No. You can also buy it separately if you do not pre-order Battlefield 3. Back to Karkand will be available the exact same date after the launch of Battlefield 3 no matter if you pre-ordered or buy it separately. Q: When will the Back to Karkand expansion pack be released? A: We have not yet announced the Back to Karkand expansion pack release date. Q: How much does the Back to Karkand Expansion pack cost? A: We have not yet announced a price. However, it will be included in the Limited Edition at no extra charge. Q: Do I have to choose between Back to Karkand and the Physical Warfare Pack as my pre-order bonus? A: No. There is no way you can pre-order Battlefield 3: Limited Edition and not end up with the Back to Karkand expansion pack at no extra charge. On top of this, select retailers all over the world will carry the Physical Warfare Pack. Exact details for other countries and retailers will be announced at a later date. Q: Why do you offer pre-order bonus items? A: Because we believe in rewarding our core fanbase with special offers -- such as giving them the Back to Karkand expansion pack at no extra charge.

I wonder how effective slugs will be compared to BC2. Slugs plus Mag Ammo equaled massive rape.
Please, no stupid perks...
Q: Why do you offer pre-order bonus items? A: Because we believe in rewarding our core fanbase with special offers -- such as giving them the Back to Karkand expansion pack at no extra charge.
wow so they were trying to be nice and everyone threw it in their faces. Spoilt douchebags.
Please, no stupid perks...
The slugs were fun.
Back to Karkand will also include iconic Battlefield 2 vehicles, weapons to bring back to the base game, new unlocks and persistence, and more content that we will talk about later.
Source, now can we please stop calling it a map pack, it makes it sound no better than a MW2 map pack.
And how is that a good thing ? the game is full of paid DLC and it's not even released yet, not to mention the extra $10. And yet they bitch because people rent/sell it ? seriously ? Cut the price, exclusive content, DLC and then we'll talk, it was like that on BC2 and it was perfectly fair.
I agree with you in regards to exclusive content, but Back to Karkand is like if by pre-ordering BC2 you got BC2: Veatnam for free; it's a themed expansion pack, which is being worked on by a separate team and will be released after the game is. They aren't cutting content, they are making more content and giving it to you for free if you pre-order (why wouldn't you, you have plenty of time to see if you like it especially with the open beta).
The slugs were fun.
But perks are bad, being able to pick your ammo type isn't; they are two different things (one you have to pick between a bunch of unrelated bonuses, the other you have to pick between a bunch of related pros and cons, all of which will not prevent you from having something unrelated).

This is why this shit gives me a headache.
What? This is why this shit gives me a headache.
It comes out after BF3 is released (I'm guessing because it won't be done when BF3 is, or they are going to use it to boot players around the time MW3 comes out), what's so hard to understand?
I think a lot of people thought it would be available day one.
I think a lot of people should learn to read, this has been known for at least a few weeks.
The slugs were fun.
Slugs were good, but shit like Magnum Ammo, Explosives MK.2, Advanced Warheads, etc. were stupid.
wow so they were trying to be nice and everyone threw it in their faces. Spoilt douchebags.
if they wanted to be nice those things would be in the fucking game and not pre-order bullshit. [editline]13th June 2011[/editline] oh and FYI, PC gamers bitch because we expect better.
What? This is why this shit gives me a headache.
I think they means when will it be released for those that didn't pre-order.
Why should I pay more just because I just so happen to not have enough money to pre-order ATM?
Why should I pay more just because I just so happen to not have enough money to pre-order ATM?
You have four months to pre-order, there's no real rush.
Why should I pay more just because I just so happen to not have enough money to pre-order ATM?
Is it just here in Sweden where pre-ordering is free or what? At least where I buy my games from.
Does anyone care about it being on Origin? I will get it for PC nonetheless.
Is it just here in Sweden where pre-ordering is free or what? At least where I buy my games from.
That's basically everywhere in Europe.
Does anyone care about it being on Origin? I will get it for PC nonetheless.
It's not exclusive. If it was, they would've made a real announcement about it. The preorder content you get from Origin is exclusive, the game isn't.
I think a lot of people should learn to read, this has been known for at least a few weeks.
Months infact.
http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/8114/capturefij.png Reddit is having pretty much the most overreaction I've ever seen. I still don't care about it.
^Um yeah, pretty sure not having a couple of exclusive weapons isn't going to ruin the game for me.
It's not exclusive. If it was, they would've made a real announcement about it. The preorder content you get from Origin is exclusive, the game isn't.
okay that explains a lot, so origin just replaces EADM?
