Other than the fact that it's pretty much the same thing, improved? It always happens with new technology, doesn't make the pioneers "gimmicks".

Also, the Steam version of BIT.TRIP BEAT supports the controller and even has an achievement for completing a level with it.

For some reason 0.2% of the players in BIT.TRIP BEAT got the Sixense achievement, more than with some other achievements.
