Age Of Empires Thread - Games

I'm reinstalling all my Age of Empire games... can't wait to play them.

Maybe it's because I started with AoE III, but I didn't find it all that bad. My only complaint was that the battles were too small scale. You can't have a game set in the renaissance / industrial ages without massive line battles.

Should I make a steam group to get some games going?

I have just raped some guys in a 2v2 and 3v3 with my buddy Sporface. Conquistador + Paladin combo kick ass.

I wanted to ask, i was playing AoE2 conquerors with my bro, i run on Win 7 and my bro runs XP, doubt it matters but i thought i'd mention that just in case. So onto the problem, after playing MP with my bro for like 20-30mins maybe more, the game just freezes and won't work again, you can move around with the camera but every unit is freezed in place. We use gameranger to play the game. Anyone had something similar?

So has anyone else played the AoE:Online beta? I'm dying to know if it's any good.

Alright I just took a look at AoE:Online, thinking "man they're overreacting, can't be that bad." Saw video, disappointment.
