I'll be 100% honest with you. Two nights ago when I decided to try 1.6.5, I started up a new world. I was exploring the terrain for a good place to set up a home when I stumble upon a small pond, but on the edges in the water was some glass blocks. I was confused, and at first thought I had been here already, I was wrong however because I placed torches in my path from the spawn to help me find my trail. I know glass can't spawn from the world generator (Can it?), so this perplexed me. I ignored it thinking it could be a glitch, but suddenly I hear *shatter*. I'll be honest, I freaked the fuck out because no mob I know can break glass. Call me whatever you want, a liar, a hoax, but this really happened. By the way, I burned down the forest in the surrounding area and got the fuck away from that pond.

The biome was a forest, and it was glass not ice. Glass is much lighter than Ice, and it looks the same as glass. I don't really think it was ice, but I guess that is a possibility.
Aside from being a joke, could the Herobrine comment have to do with 11.mus? That was some fairly freaky shit. (I don't know if someone found out why that was there, didn't read the whole thread.)

Nope, 11.mus is still in the resources file. Maybe someone should convert it again, it might be something completely different.
The "Herobrine" was probably the unused "monster" entity that got used in some custom maps.

heres my alt, also what i was trying to say was that he needs to stop being a baby because really its still in beta, not a full game yet, and hes complaining over it way too much. Its a trivial issue that you don't have to make a big deal about. though I agree i sound really stupid now that i think of it so call me what you will i'm sorry.

It is on. Seriously I don't have any problems with what it is now because I don't see how playing singleplayer can be affected by a multiplayer bug.
Fire spread is just annoying now. I think it should spread a lot more, just slower, and burn things slower.
