It didn't feel like Fallout 3 with a different cover to me, it felt like Fallout 2 being brought to 3d.
I haven't had any big bugs in my game. The only problem I have is occasional crash, but I can deal with that. I love it more than Fallout 3.
Yeah I agree. I kind of wish they would of used a different game engine though. Thing is, there is a big different between the console one, than the actual PC one. Mainly graphical errors and hanging. You would probably last 2 or so hours before it crash and had to restart so you'd save frequently. Kinda stinks because the console one hasn't even updated yet.
Uh, my game never crashed. Once.
Uh, my game never crashed. Once.
It crashes once every two hours for me, quit bragging.
It was mainly a render of the place Cryodil. But if you wanted to go technical, since it was replaced, the characters would probably move realisticly. But it would break how things normally work, like picking up items unless you hard coded it too. I'm probably just speaking crap, but, yeah. He didn't show anything else, because he didn't want to get sued or something.
Here's the video, I couldn't find it on youtube.

Words cannot express how much better cryengine is than gamebyro, it's a shame it hasn't been used for more stuff.
Mine crashed just after exiting a Casino once
Lost my weapons
it's not a 'clone', get off that bandwagon. There are plenty of great improvements and the whole atmosphere is completely different from fallout 3's.
God damn It I have to read all your posts in Lucas Simms voice.
I don't get why people are complaining about how it looks like Fallout 3. Fallout 2 looks like Fallout 1. BFBC 1 and 2. Killzone 2 and 3. Bioshock 1 and 2. Half Life 2, and all the episodes. Portal 1 and 2. COD 4-7.
Because they are a bunch of bitchy little idiots who can't respect the time and effort it takes to produce something nice when you are handed a stacked hand of cards that you can't possibly win with.
Its one of the best games ive played, due to story the fact that i put a lot of effort into making the game enjoyable. If you dont do side quests and explore without any objectives sometimes then you wont have as much fun. Dont be lazy just because you completed fallout 3, not everything awesome in the game is going to come up to you and smack you in the face.
Funniest thing that ever happened to me was when i was in freeside and some kids were chasing a rat down the street, i pulled up V.A.T.S and shot the rats head off. The kids knelt and down and started eating the rat at my feet, then said "Thanks mister".
One of the roughly 5 times i have truly laughed at a video game.
I'd like to see more Casino type games in the future.
Make use of those Craps tables, maybe some 7-card hold'em against other NPC's

I feel the casinos are a little empty with NPCs

I want them to make the games more difficult, I've never played blackjack before and I make ridiculous amounts of caps easily.

Well blackjack is like 90% luck so unless you can count cards you can't exactly "train" to be better at it.
Also you can't count cards in Vegas.
I found this

Basically what I meant was tweak the system so you win less often. And make the luck stat affect it less. Because right now it's waaay too easy to play blackjack for 10 minutes and be financially secure for a large portion of the game.
I'm indifferent between Fallout 3 and New Vegas, loved them both.
I'd get new vegas but I have a bad feeling about it. Something feels off.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas both have their strengths and weaknesses.

I'm just going to put it out there that I fucking hate the gamebryo engine, it's been severely outdated since 2008.
Try playing black jack, bet max. You will win. Exit, save, repeat. Try this
A crow flew out of the ground.. upside-down, directly into the sky. Then it disappeared :raise:
I dislike Fallout 3, i like New vegas.
Because it feels like a Fallout game.
Probably because those games actually have something changed.
This game looks the exact same. Besides ironsights and the HUD color being changed, I sometimes forget which game I'm playing.
I've played this game and this bandwagon really needs to stop because even the whole atmosphere is different. You're either just bullshitting to go along with the bandwagon or you're just incredibly stupid if you're being honest.

Amber, actually.
It just pisses me off that they kept the ugly pip-boy glove. The first console command I used was to get rid of the hideous monstrosity.
Since we're on the subject of the engine itself..
I heard that New Vegas and Oblivion are both great. However, which does FP recommend I get myself?

Well Oblivion is the whole medieval/fantasy deal obviously but to me, it felt a lot more open ended and had more of a sandbox feel because it focused so much on side content other than the story unlike Fallout 3 because there's TONS of side quests, dungeons, ruins, and the whole nine yards.
Haven't played New Vegas long enough to say if it's different or not but to me, Fallout 3 seemed to focus more on the main story and there wasn't a whole lot of side content to keep me playing but there was a lot more action and combat was a lot more fun.
Basically get Oblivion if you're looking for a more open ended RPG with a ton of content to keep you playing, but don't mind that the actual combat part isn't so exciting.
