so i just started playing last week, after trying the demo last year
beaten emi, kenji, and hanako's routes so far (best endings)
i did not expect hanako's to actually make me tear up wow
ShimJEE isn't working for me, but I haven't had the issue with not recongnizing java, and infact it's seems to be running but I'm not seeing anything

Out of those three, Hanako's route is the most feelsy imho.

Emi's is my second favorite after Lilly. Maybe due to me doing them in that order. The Lilly part in Emi's didn't help my feels. I think its a good time to start again when i stop crying upon hearing the menu music.
I actually didn't enjoy Emi's route that much. Then again, it's been a year since I played. I've probably spent more time on this thread than the game itself.

but then a webpage froze in chrome, so I opened up chrome's task manager to manually end it, and lilly fucking grabbed the task manager and threw it off the screen so now I cant get at it

I think there's ways to disable the window grabbing shit, but I forget. Never could get it to work on my rig personally. (friend of mine showed it to me sometime last year)

Download the 1.0.3_Calm zip file, extract it anywhere, then move the img folders from the KS/Mischevious version to the Calm version's folders. You lose the neat little heart logo for the taskbar icon and it also stops them from multiplying on their own, but at least they won't grab your windows anymore.

Are you kidding. It takes me 2-3 hours to clear Act 1 each time (I replay it thoroughly to get into the right mindset, and also because I tend to notice new things each playthrough). A save I have for early Act 4 on Lilly's arc reads over 6 hours, and one near the end of my first ever playthrough on Emi's path clocks over 11 hours.
