A friend of mine attempted to get me into this to try to teach me how to write stories better. I tried and ended up getting the ending where Hisao gets drunk and falls off the roof. Also it was only after that I found out how to save, meaning [I]I had to start all the way fucking over again[/I]. I deleted it after that out of boredom and frustration.
Maybe I'm just a heartless bastard, but[U] I couldn't find myself liking any of the characters, and furthermore, I couldn't stand being around them[/U], especially the player character Hisao. I undertstand he's in a bad situation but dammit, to me[U] it's really not very tragic[/U], more annoying then anything. And on a personal note, if we were supposed to pity him because his whole family and the girl he was interested left him/lost interest with him,[U] the fact that they did all leave him means that they weren't really caring of him to begin with,[I][B] so screw 'em.[/B][/I][/U] Plus, sending him off to some "Special" school just feels really insulting to me, it's like saying,[I] "oh, you're different, you have to sit with all the different people!"[/I] On top of that, all the other possible romantic interests were [U]so utterly boring to me that I actually started to hate being around them.[/U] I don't know, they just felt too...happy. To well-adjusted. Too simple. Like they'd already gone through their character arcs and were now utterly perfect, flawless, and fine. I wanted them out of my face and in the background where they belonged.
I kinda was interested in Hanako, because I'd heard she's a really tragic character, and I really introverted characters with tragic pasts. Out of all the girls, she's the only one who had the kind of flaws that made her seem human to me. But having to sit and talk to all the other characters who I had absolutely no interest in was a real bore. [U]If I could just skip the parts I wanted to get to I'd probably have liked it better.[/U]
But, I dunno, should I try it again? Having the route for Hanako mapped out up there has kind of made me consider taking another go at it...
EDIT: And on another personal note, did I really have to sit through an entire scene with Kenji naked? That whole scene felt awkward as fuck.
I think i'll wait a year until i play this again. I'll get nice and neutral on the feels ground.

Just played through Rin's route again and I found myself enjoying it more than the first time.
What happened to the last thread being the last one? I thought a mod said they wouldn't let a new thread be made after the previous one would be locked. Not that I really mind, but everything has been discussed to hell and back, and all the art has been seen before.

It got locked because it was big, and no, megathreads aren't banned, just not as strongly encouraged as before. At least that's everything I gathered.
There was a big discussion on whether or not KS was fit for its own thread, separate from the VN megathread, and nobody ever decided on anything.

This is pretty old but I believe more mods said the same thing a little bit more recently.
Don't see why it can't have it's own seperate thread, the fandom still seems pretty strong here on fp, plus it makes for decent conversation/debates.
I'm surprised at the amount of cosplay that Katawa got. It's mostly Hanako but there are a few Rins as well, which surprised me.

Doesn't she sometimes wear realistic leg prosthetics with rainbow socks covering them, instead of the running types? Seems like that'd be fairly easy to do for a cosplay.

Just checked the game files, and dunno where I got the rainbow socks bit from, but yeah she does have realistic prosthetics as well.

I knew she had more realistic prosthetics, I just forgot about em since most of the time you see her legs she's running around. Thus she has the metallic ones on.
