I need to finish Lilly's and Shizunes route and finally complete Katawa Shoujo but
The thing is
I have to pinned to my Windows task bar and
Every time I accidentally launch it, I quickly ctrl+alt+del and end the process
I love this game but
It is the most depressing game i have ever played personally
I think i'm just afraid of being sad again when i play this game
Hell the main theme makes me want to cry, I literally cannot stay at the main menu for a few moments, I have to immediately go past it or else i might become rather depressed.

I finished Hanako's route yesterday. I feel somewhat proud of getting good ending.

Same thing with me but when it comes up I just listen to the menu theme for a while, exit out, then contemplate life for a few minutes.

True his music is awesome, but his rants weren't half bad. He's confident enough in his speech, brings up good points, and has an interesting presentation style.

Okay, so it's been a week since I mentioned in this thread that I would try this out.
And that I did.
So far I've cleared three different routes. Hanako, Emi and Rin are the routes I've taken, in that order.
I have Shizune and Lilly left. Hanakos route made me sad at first, but it was truly worth it for the good ending. Emis route left me with a smile on my face by the end. Very enjoyable. But Rins route made me
into what can only be described as an emotional wreck. Even her good ending was bittersweet. Never has something fictional impacted me as much as this VN did. I'm glad I happened to stumble by this thread. I'll write some more when I'm done with Lilly and Shizunes routes.

The ironic thing was that the reason the good ending was bittersweet was because of Hisao, not Rin

Right. I have never been big for japanese like media, anime, manga or anything like that. I saw one of those "What I expected, What I got" (from furious fapping to endless feels) pictures on the Internet about this game and thought to give it a shot since it was free and because I was born with a heart illness myself too.
Played it blind, wanted to end up with Rin, since I laughed my ass off at her random comments but ended up with Emi. And lots and lots of running.
It was tense as hell but in the end I got the good ending and it made me feel good about life, I felt absolutely fantastic.
I started going for walks and eating healthy, it is great and I ended up enjoying life much more... for a while at least.
Because of this, I pulled act 1 flowchart and went for Rin.
I though it would awesome, I thought I'd laugh my head off, but it wasn't like that at all.
I'm too lazy to write any events or spoilers, but you goons know what happens in it.
After Rin's route, even though I managed to get the good ending while playing blind, I felt like I had been raped by sledgehammers and ran over by a freight train.
Good lord Rin is broken, I mean holy fuck.
Jesus fucking christ, I don't know if I can play the rest of the routes.

Do it. They're all worth playing.
They're all worth playing, but put a different route between Lilly and Hanako, as they're very similar.
If it makes you feel better, I'll tell ya that Rin's route is arguably the most "punch-in-the-gut" of them all.
I actually really like Shizune's route, even though it is seen as the weakest route by a load of people.

If you do end up doing it, I think it's a good idea to end with Shizune's route. Not because she's bad, but her route is actually pretty light-hearted and doesn't really have any negative emotional impact and it's probably a good way to end the game.

I don't know, the misha thing felt kind of shoe-horned and it was resolved pretty quickly, or at least that's how I remember it
