I've got a friend named Jordan, he went to japan and went on a the Japanese study tour. He had to get up infront of the school with the rest of the guys on the tour and talk about himself. He said hello or whatever, and then followed up with, "Boku wa Jordan desu". It's a shortcut in Japanese, informal and such. Anyway, Jodan in Japanese roughly translates to "Joke". My friend greeted a school full of Japanese people with "Hello everyone, i am a joke".
