It feels like they didn't properly develop a character-look for Hisao until the 3rd act or something, because he keeps switching hair and eye color before then.

Shizune's heard better insults than that.
Rin throws better punches than you.

I wonder what KS looked like if they had Mike Inel do all of the art. Probably a lot better.

Probably, if he did some of the more complicated scenes, but that'd take more time.
Also Lilly's sprite art seemed a little... flat, I guess, compared to the others.

The calmer parts of the soundtrack to this game, especially "Caged Heart", "Painful History" and "Aria de l'Etoile" has a tendency to bring me into an almost frozen state. I get so introverted and wrapped up in my own thoughts I don't even know what I'm thinking of myself.
Friends've had to snap me out of an almost hypnotic state when I gaze off into the distance, seemingly distant from everyone and almost drifted out of consciousness.
It happens to me on an occacional basis that I'll drift off and usually it takes me a minute to realize I'm still on planet Earth, but this soundtrack freezes me and it takes me longer to emerge from my bliss.
It's a dreamlike state. My eyes go blurry and my vision fades slightly, I hear my heartbeat more clearly in a slow rhythm and whatever motion I was in is seemingly paused if only to remain enough balance to stay upright, yet I feel myself swaying back and forth as if my legs were to give in any second.
I can't tell if the music is effecting me on a subconscious level.
Sorry to sound so melodramatic but it's the easiest way to describe it.
I don't think I've ever played something with music quite like KS. It's beautiful.
cowboy bebop's music is phenomenal as well. I'd put these two soundtracks on about the same level
Nearly finished the game, just need to do Hanako's bad ending (will do that later today maybe, I dunno). Still haven't gotten any feels, no "waifu" developments (seriously the fuck?), but for some reason, playing Rin's route has gotten me off my ass and painting again, so I may have found a muse.
drunk and listening to the ost. feels good man.

To me KS and Walking Dead share the #1 spot. It's too hard to weigh them. Both have brilliant storytelling and character development.

It's not many, but they're there.

I'm all out actually, was gonna run to Wal-Mart to grab some more but by the time I got done at Ye Olde Game Shoppe it was kinda late.
I feel like Emi's route would have been better if[sp]her dad was actually still alive, and on a hospital ward somewhere, crippled. It's pretty obvious from early on in her route that her dad is dead, to the point that when it's revealed it's less of a surprise and more 'oh, I saw that coming'. When her mother asks about visiting him, I actually thought for a little while that he may have actually been alive, and that her unwillingness to talk about him and the implications it gives off being because she could never come to terms with how her father, the person that got her into running and practically is responsible for the person she is today, could never make the same phoenix-like recovery she could. She feels that while she has more or less overcome her disability, her fathers defines him, and that he never really tried to make it less of an obstacle.
Her good ending would have involved repairing the bond between them somehow. I don't know what happens in Emi's neutral and bad endings, so I'm not sure how it would affect them.[/sp]
I spoilered the above because there's still routes I haven't done, so there might be someone reading who hasn't done Emi's for whatever reason.

[sp]Yeah, her father being dead was pretty damned obvious. People got sad when he was mentioned, she cries out for him in her tear-filled nightmares, and people say "she lost more than her legs in that accident". C'mon Hisao, where's that deductive reasoning science nerds are supposed to have?[/sp]
