This would be the update to end all updates, the one that puts the cap on all other updates and puts a bow on Minecraft. Unfortunately this will never occur in just one update. But this is a list of things that we want added in Minecraft, be it in 1.7 or a future update. Help me add to it by posting what you want. World: -No vertical chunk limit (up OR down) -Make chunks 32x32x32 in size -Rocky mountain biomes -Savannah biomes -Volcanoes -Canyons -Deeper Oceans (shipwrecks? hidden treasure?) -Rivers/Streams -Forest fires (?) -Wind (push you in a direction) -More common dungeons -Hidden secrets like buried treasure, treasure maps to go with it, etc. -Aether -Nether fixes, more use, incentive to travel or settle -Certain chunk groups having varied ore distribution (e.g. an area with a lot of steel but little redstone) -Even bigger trees -Boss battles, with massive amounts of loot (gold, diamonds, lapis, or other rare ores) -Ruins and ancient temples in world generation -Underwater cave -Creepy shrines in the nether -Apple trees, with golden apple trees in the nether Sound: -More ambient noises (birds chirping, wind sounds when high up) -More walking noises (rustling while on a tree, clinking if wearing steel boots on stone or iron) -Ice cracking (ambient) -Echoing of footsteps or other noises in large caverns or canyons -Better damage sounds for types of damage (UNGF UNGF UNGF gets old) Mobs: -More common wolves -More water mobs like dolphins and sharks -Birds (eagles up in mountains, colorful ones in rainforests, dull ones in other biomes) -Lions (mostly in savanna) -Elephants (savanna biome/forest biome) -Bears (forest, neutral, with black skin and brown skin) -Polar Bears ( -Ducks (ponds, just like chicken) -Actual fish to catch, which have varied weights and heal depending on the fish's weight -Horses (like in Mo Creatures) Building: -The ability to put stuff on glass Additional Mechanics: -Pistons (and Sticky Pistons) -Diving Helmet to allow you to breathe underwater -Airships -Zooming ability on a map -Finite water mod added -Lanterns (as long as torches keep their functionality) -Crossbow (Like a bow, just very high damage and accuracy but takes time to reload?) -Throwable spears -Meat dropping from animals other than pigs (lamb, chicken, beef, etc) -Water-pipes that redirect water -Tents that let you sleep in the open without being disturbed -New types of ores with special properties (like redstone or lapis) -New types of crops to farm -Legitimate farming for sugar cane (not just plant by water) -Farming for pumpkins -Link-able minecarts -Writable notes -More weather effects. Droughts, floods, etc. -Natural disasters (tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes that break your mines) -Coral on ocean beds -Sponge on ocean beds -Dye-able beds -Dye-able bricks (when cooking, would be more complicated) -Tint-able glass (also when cooking) -Glass with no annoying lines -More food crafting recipes (sandwiches? stews? mince?) -New difficulty where you have to eat and drink to survive. -Salt harvestable from the ocean through pumping systems. -Random events a. Zombie Hordes b. Meteors c. Aliens (?) -Grates to let fluids through Balances: -Iron tools now more durable -Gold tools and armor is slightly more powerful than Iron -Iron is 2x more durable than gold -Torches emits slightly more light Multiplayer: -Integrated voice chat -Gamemodes: a. Survival. As it is now. b. Creative. Everyone has access to an infinite amount of each item with instant-destroy no drops. c. Deathmatch. Everyone spawns with Sword and Bow (stack of arrows) and has to be the last man standing. d. Team Deathmatch. What do you think it is? -Ability to choose what mobs spawn when playing (Server owner only) Client: -Higher render distance -Smooth lighting is made a little bit brighter -Smoke is now bigger and longer in height Bugs: -All of them. Fixed. With none added. Political: -Notch officially hands the torch to Jeb
all i want is no ceiling so i can build gigantic skyscrapers and stuff without a horrible limit
Oh okay this is cool--
-Integrated voice chat
:tinfoil: Oh hell no.
Infinite height limit and huge mountains with snow peaks would be enough to get me back into Minecraft.
I think he should atleast add a gun.Like a musket or a flintlock pistol. .They take time to reload .They both do more damage then a bow .Farther range .Complex to craft .Craft bullets .Doesn't take away the Medieval atmosphere. The game would be stupid if there were miniguns and AK47s. Holy balls,70 disagrees.
Id definitely like deeper oceans and shipwrecks.
I'd just like an update that is worth the 2 months spent on it, and that doesn't include game breaking bugs.
Here's a bit more: World: - Certain chunk groups having varied ore distribution (e.g. an area with a lot of steel but little redstone) - Even bigger trees - Snaking, finite rivers in the world generator - Aether - Nether fixes, more use, incentive to travel or settle Sound: - More ambient noises (birds chirping, wind sounds when high up) - More walking noises (rustling while on a tree, clinking if wearing steel boots on stone or iron) Mobs: - Birds (eagles up in mountains, colorful ones in rainforests, dull ones in other biomes) - Lions (mostly in savanna) - Bears (forest) - Ducks (ponds, just like chicken) - Actual fish to catch - Half the stuff from Mo' Creatures Additional Mechanics: - Finite water mod added - Lanterns - Crossbow (Like a bow, just very high damage and accuracy but takes time to reload?) - Spears - Meat dropping from animals other than pigs (lamb, chicken, beef, etc) - New types of ores with special properties (like redstone or lapis) - New types of crops to farm, and legitimate farming for sugar cane (not just plant by water) Just touching the surface. There's so much more that could be added.
Add the Aether. The complete opposite of the Nether.
Some basic physics structure like Ace of spades, but that's off by default.
Hopefully notch will steal these ideas.
How about that zombie survival gamemode promised ages ago
Fucking NPC villages. Singleplayer feels so "Forever Alone". It just forces me ot play MP.
its not a gamemode its just when the moon turns red and a hundred zombies assault your base
A space dimension, which is far, far, far away up in the sky. I like the idea of adding evolution, or whatever you call it in Minecraft. You first start with wooden items and then later in the game you have minecarts.

Mobs: Horses (rideable of course) Mechanics: Airships
You forgot something: Mobs: NPC villages, some are small hamlets inhabited by Goblins, others are massive Pigmen castles.Castles can go to war with each other(and you). You can also trade with them. Also, there should be way more dungeon-exclusive items, like legendary weapons or special tools or spell books.Guns should be only found in dungeons, but bullets are craftable.Obviously, the guns will be flintlocks and such.To make this work better, there should be rare large dungeons, like the ones in Terraria(huge, winding structures heading deep underground). And ruins.Huge ruins that show signs of an ancient dwarven empire or something.

Higher Render Distance
Id definitely like deeper oceans and shipwrecks.
If he adds shipwrecks, he should also add scuba gear so that we can explore the shipwrecks.
I disagree with the 'more common' things. Wolves are meant to be uncommon, so seeing one will be rewarding and its worthy of a 'hey guys I found a wolf' post. And with dungeons, if they where common so would their items when everyone makes grinders on them and killing them top side is only to keep them away, not for their loot.
Actual powered minecarts, kinda like a train.
i hope you guys realize that this isn't an actual update
i hope you guys realize that this isn't an actual update
Thank you, Sherlock Holmes.
A zombie fortress or some kind of build by day, get overrun by night would be a pretty fun addition to the game. Also a real strong mod support and infrastructure for mods.
Thank you, Sherlock Holmes.
no prob lol
npc villages lol no thanks
Why?
