Oh god, volcanoes would be awesome. I can imagine it. Spent 2 days constructing a house then a fury of lava ruins it.
I definitely want finite water in minecraft, having to build pipes to make it infinite is so much better than needing to fuck around with Notch's shitty water physics that bugs out really easily.
Also make the flow speed for items MUCH faster, the current speed doesn't even match the current animation.
Why not add fantastic already existing mods such as Industrial Craft, BuildCraft, MoCreatures, Moreinfo HUD, Singleplayer Commands, HD texture support as default and bukkit as MP default?
Make things 100x better and they are already present, just needs to be incorporated.
ported the game to C++ from Java so it's not a bloated piece of shit
Notch permanently resigning and letting Jeb take control of the game.
- Grates that let fluids through
- Revised fluid physics
- Pipes and pumps (for fluids)
- Gases (such as air, natural gas, poisonous gas, swamp gas, etc)
i hope you guys realize that this isn't an actual update
did you have to use intuition to find that clue

I'd love it if all water was finite except in oceans/seas. You'd have to make pipelines going from the sea to where you need the water... So much potential!
I want finite water to be added but also I want it to be made so that when it rains water forms on the ground which would allow rivers/lakes to be made naturally. Also some kind of system that allows flowing water to erode would be nice.
swamp gas
UFOs will need to go in if there is swamp gas

Actually, I should mention there is a mod that adds finite water.
Just search for FiniteLiquid on the minecraft forums.
-Boss battles, with massive amounts of loot (gold, diamonds, lapis, or other rare ores)
Oh holy fuck, this. This would be fucking amazing.

I am aware, but it doesn't work in multiplayer.
Instead of chunks being 16x16x128, make them 32x32x32, and have it go up and down practically infinitely. The only limits on the height of generated terrain should be judged by whatever values are set for the generating system. Maybe one could dig until one reaches the Earth's mantle :v:
[editline]28th May 2011[/editline]
Minecarts that can be connected to each other to form proper trains would be _excellent_
I could finally have a railway to a mine that I send materials back to a base with, and receive supplies back with.
Writable notes would be especially useful, so one could write a shipment manifest, and requests for certain supplies.

I've always liked the idea of a more realistic Minecraft world, rather than the current sky-ground-underground-bedrock system. Would certainly mean people actually migrated more often. Imagine gigantic rocky mountain ranges, or snowy tundras with no life for miles around, or sandy deserts with ever-changing dunes (perhaps a wind would affect them slightly over time?), and hellish rocky lava pits with volcanos, and giant continents and tiny islands, and twisting, spiralling caves that go on for tens of thousands of blocks... All in the Minecraft engine. It would take a lot of effort, but it would be amazing.

I've been playing games so much that I no longer see trees, grass, hills and such; but static models, sprites, displacements and brushes.
I want the damn goblin villages he promised us.

A while ago when he released that fly by video.
A space dimension, which is far, far, far away up in the sky.
I like the idea of adding evolution, or whatever you call it in Minecraft. You first start with wooden items and then later in the game you have minecarts.
Oh god, yes. We need space. I'd love to build a space elevator, station or ship.
I think an additional 6x6 crafting table would be good. With that, we could craft rarer, more powerful/useful items - but obviously requiring a lot more materials.
I think a pistol would be a good example of this:
I I I I I I
I I I I I I
I I I - - -
I I - - - -
I I - - - -
- - - - - -
I = Iron Ingot
If you want goblin villages, go play Runescape. I'll not have any of that crap in my game.
Wind would become really annoying after a while, and gold is pretty much fine as it is in my opinion.

For the love of god keep the fucking guns away from Minecraft. This isn't COD-Craft.

YES! I just finished climbing this awesome 300 block high mountain!
*wind blows you off*
FUUUUUUUUUU-
What i want:
-Shipwrecks.
They would be located in deep oceans, or on the shores (rare). They have the deck and a few rooms. Each room contains one chest and every chest contains random loot.
A normal ship would contain:
-Leather
-Wool
-Gunpowder
-Food of all kind
-Iron
-Gold
-Maps. They are fully drawn, but they dont tell the area what it shows.
-Bows and arrows
-Beds
-A boat. Used for emergency exit there.
-1 single compass
The there would also be pirate ships, which are rare. They could contain:
-Gold
-Diamonds
-Lapis Lazuli
-Rare foods (apples, golden apples, cookies etc.)
-Armor of all kind
-Records (very rare)
-Paintings
-Maps. More than on a normal ship.
-Beds
-A boat.
And other rare stuff.
