That's what I had in mind actually.
Maybe instead of a hybrid, I should take all these ideas and make [i]several[/i] songs.
Start with a fast and agitated tune*night approaches*. Slowly decrease the agitation. *you are dying, living your last moments and see your wolf lying down, covered in blood. You feel tears going down your cheeks*
STOP. *All is black. You are dead*
Calm music starts. It's like you are going in heaven now.

Well, I wanna be able to make it effectively a combination of both aspects. There's not gonna be a stark shift, but I'll make all the feelings sort of discernible depending on how you listen to it.
If I was composing a soundtrack for a movie, I would definitely do it in more of a symphonic manner, but these pieces are intended to be more like ambient backtracks that subconsciously, rather than intrusively, influence your emotions.
Maybeee....
in the "agitation decrease" part you should make it all go "dundundundun" with the volume slowly decreasing.

I didn't exactly try to replicate C418's style, but more the feeling I got when playing Minecraft. Obviously the feeling is influenced by C418's music in-game, but I'm not studying his songs or anything.
Also, I don't try to replicate moods either. I invent a scene (or get one from you guys :3:) in my head, and then try to put it into musical form. The [i]scene[/i] is what determines the mood for me, and the music consequently inherits that mood.

Wow, even better! That could be a great publicity tool. Just make sure I get full credit in the description and/or in the video itself if it has credits. Otherwise I will be a very upset musician! :argh:
