Maybe. I need a nice description though. Like, "I walk up a snowy slope in the minutes before dawn, escaping the cover of the dense trees just in time to watch the sun ease majestically over the icy horizon." :v: [editline]24th March 2011[/editline] Also, I want an activity level. Like, if it is just complete silence and awe, or if it's relatively active.
Alone, in the desert. I know i'm going to die... i have no weapons. I have no food. I have no building materials. And the moon comes. Complete silence. I forgot about my wolfie. He's here. Next to me. He knows what is going to happen. But he acts like it isn't going to end so bad. And he will be with me. Until the end of our lifes. Now i see spiders around me. I see creepers. I see zombies. But most important. I see my wolf. :h: Ok, too much sentimental, and i did not even reflect on it too much. Had no time to project the scene :v:
No such thing as too emotional for me. That's actually a beautiful scene. Definitely gonna do a hybrid of these.

"sad" :v: The theme for the song should be calm, because there will be no more to worry about... it's just a bit of waiting, and it's over. A literal countdown.
"IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN" dundadunda- dundadadadun Dammit now you've stuck that in my head. Looking forward to hearing the new one mate.

A literal countdown.
Yeah :D That's what I had in mind actually. Maybe instead of a hybrid, I should take all these ideas and make several songs.
Start with a fast and agitated tune*night approaches*. Slowly decrease the agitation. *you are dying, living your last moments and see your wolf lying down, covered in blood. You feel tears going down your cheeks* STOP. *All is black. You are dead* Calm music starts. It's like you are going in heaven now. *text between stars* = Reference to my scene :v:
Well, I wanna be able to make it effectively a combination of both aspects. There's not gonna be a stark shift, but I'll make all the feelings sort of discernible depending on how you listen to it. If I was composing a soundtrack for a movie, I would definitely do it in more of a symphonic manner, but these pieces are intended to be more like ambient backtracks that subconsciously, rather than intrusively, influence your emotions.
Maybeee.... in the "agitation decrease" part you should make it all go "dundundundun" with the volume slowly decreasing. then a *DUN* . AAAnd it restarts... slowly building the volume up again.
Also, no bloody wolfie death :smith:
Sorry I'm late to the party, but I love every single one of these songs. I hope Notch gets to see/hear them!
This party never ends. :smug: Hey guys, I'm done with the new song! I named it "Grass That Grows", and it was influenced by all of the scenarios above! It's uploading...
I'm gonna make at least one more song when I get home. Somebody wanna set a scene for me? :D
Dire landscape with a volcano and jagged cliffs. Only you and your loyal Wolfie are the inhabitants. Or at least you think you are...
Dire landscape with a volcano and jagged cliffs. Only you and your loyal Wolfie are the inhabitants. Or at least you think you are...
That'll be my next one :D Alright, the new song is on Soundcloud, but I'll have to upload it to Bandcamp after I come back from dinner.
That'll be my next one :D Alright, the new song is on Soundcloud, but I'll have to upload it to Bandcamp after I come back from dinner.
:woop: I want to have a scary Minecraft song to go with my first save. It has lost of volcanos, lava flows, evil spires, etc.
The wolves song is stuck in my head damnit.
Okay, I managed to get it uploaded to Bandcamp. The new song is now complete! Listen, comrades.
Matix. You're my new best friend.
Just listen to the new track, pretty sweet. Sounds happy in a strange sort of way. Keep up the work, man.
Okay, I managed to get it uploaded to Bandcamp. The new song is now complete! Listen, comrades.
It makes me want to watch grass grow. :allears:
these are all amazing. shall i tweet them to c418 or was that already done
I keep trying tweet him but my tweets get buried. It would be much appreciated if everyone with a Twitter account would tweet him!
Another new song is on the way, guys. It's [del]uploading right now![/del] done!
I'm not sure Diamonds for You would go well with the Minecraft theme, but hot damn was it enjoyable. I'll be sure to retweet your efforts though.
And you, my friend, are a publicity-making robot of awesomity. Also, just as a reminder, not all of these are meant to be suitable in-game, but they're all meant to have recognizable similarities making them Minecrafty. You can safely assume that anything with a beat is not meant to match with the rest of the in-game music. However, it should make good music to play Minecraft to either way. If I manage to reach any level of success with this whatsoever, there will be no one but you guys to thank. :unsmith: <3
Grass That Grows = Forest Biome = - i would love it to be ingame. TO THE EMAIL-MOBILE! But still, my favourite is Pet Wolves. It's so calm and charming. [editline]25th March 2011[/editline] -IDEA- A friend of mine wanted to make a video. Forest biome will fit it. Even tought no-one really follows my YT channel... :sigh: But. I could upload the video somewhere and share it with you guys! :buddy:
Hmm, yeah you're welcome to use the song for your video. As long as I get proper credit, I really can't complain V:v:V And Inacio, I wanna freakin' hear it!
Nghh, Get Satisfaction, y u no make me login via facebook :smith: Wait, rate dumb, didn't see popup
Hah, that happens to me all the time. Hey, I'm updating "Grass That Grows", so be sure to redownload it when I say it's all ready! :D I made some tweaks to volumes, and rearranged some chords to make it less muddy.
Sent it on Youtube to LoquendoItalia. He's really followed here in Italy and plus he has 6000 subs. V:v:V And don't worry, actually he owes me a favor because i gave him an empty vid to work on V:v:V
I didn't exactly try to replicate C418's style, but more the feeling I got when playing Minecraft. Obviously the feeling is influenced by C418's music in-game, but I'm not studying his songs or anything. Also, I don't try to replicate moods either. I invent a scene (or get one from you guys :3:) in my head, and then try to put it into musical form. The scene is what determines the mood for me, and the music consequently inherits that mood.
Sent it on Youtube to LoquendoItalia. That could be a great publicity tool. Just make sure I get full credit in the description and/or in the video itself if it has credits. Otherwise I will be a very upset musician! :argh:
