Is it worth it to buy the soundtrack? Since it's a source mod, the music files are already in there. I suppose the actual tracks are better put together in the OST.

They should have done like Joel Nielsen did Pay what you want
I don't know, I like it, but damn, $10 is a bit too much.
I don't see how it is, any other soundtrack is roughly that much, and its not like the price of the soundtrack should in any way be linked to the mod itself because the music is all made from scratch unlike many of the assets from other sources in the mod.
Maybe I would pay 10$ for it, But considering that a few more chapters are going to get pumped out, Possibly each with their own soundtrack, I am just going to wait until there is a sale or something.
Buying the soundtrack is pretty much equal to a donation, a way of of saying thanks if you enjoyed the game. I don't think bandcamp (the site Tom (Composer) is using) supports the pay what you want thingy, I'll try and ask tho.
just a little thing i noticed with dynamic lighting: you should implement the fixes listed here https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Env_projectedtexture/fixes there's 8), and there's also something that's not noted in this page (but it was fixed in Garry's Mod), which is dynamic lighting intensity that gets rendered depending on your view from the camera instead as from the world (so the closer you get to a light receiver, the stronger the light will be... which doesn't make sense) just a niggle really, but i couldn't help but notice it since there are many uses of env_projectedtexture throughout the mod
You can fix that easily in the flashlight shader. http://code.google.com/p/jacobsmod/source/browse/trunk/materialsystem/stdshaders/flashlight_ps2x.fxc?spec=svn51&r=51#181
This should be its own game, I'd happily sink £10 quid into this if it was an indie source game.
About how many hours did you all sink into the campaign of Chapter 1 (not including Prologue, house, and dreams)? I'm curious as to how much time I spent. Too bad Steam doesn't time how much you play non-Steam mods.
So is there a summary somewhere of Chapter 1's story? I got the basics down like [sp]some scientist making clones or whatever, Hito sent to kill Ito and save his sister, etc., but I still don't understand Eastern and Western Janus, what Ito and his men were doing in the prison labs other than clean-up, and how the scientist's journal is relevant. Also, was the whole thing a dream or just the minigun section? That one cop said that Jake was never sent to an underground prison in the desert.[/sp]

To answer some of your questions though [sp] If I understood correctly Jake is one of those clones and the The Western Janus is his father. The Janus's each led a project, Posterus being the clones, and the other being the zombie infection I think. Ito's Lieutenant was in the labs trying to find a cure to the infection. As for the journal, I beleive Micheal was trying to obtain the journals information written by the eastern Janus from Jake's mind. And only the mingun sequence and afterword was Jake's fantasy, the fact that you can see Bryan escape the building and you see Raito/Takeo in the end supports this.[/sp]
Oh okay. Also I don't know if my game is bugged but the Hermit never asked me to find cards for most of the game even though I always found him. He only asked me twice then stopped. Do I have to listen to all of his thoughts first to receive the side quests?
Hey I recognize my stuff. I don't remember anyone from their team talking to me about using them. Here's links to some of my release threads. At least now that they are on Greenlight they're going to have to remake everything from scratch as they said in their latest ModDB post.
As long as they replace the stuff before they get greenlit, I dont see an issue. At least they stole stuff and made something pretty impressive with it rather then stealing and making some shit collab or troll mod that has no real point and is just a bunch of skins put together.

Hey guys, I just came here to say that we did not "steal" anything. All the content is properly credited. You can take a look at the list here : http://forums.wecreatestuff.com/index.php?/topic/1957-about-underhell/ Said list can also be found in the readme.txt included with the game. Although depending which version of the game you have, that list may be subject to changes, because we have added/removed/replaced some content between versions. All contributor names can also be found in the End credits of Chapter 1, listed under "Contributors" Rusty, I have contacted you for Underhell Prologue, around 2006, that was ages ago. You even helped me set up some textures man, that was back when Underhell used SMOD, I also did ask your permission for Smod Troopers, another SMOD thing I worked on. As for J. Barnes, I also contacted him although he did not make the model, Flamesedge did, who I also contacted before the Prologue release. J. Barnes merely hexed and re-released it, I also had to de-compile it and re-compile it because of a model issue with the hexed version. It took me quite some time to contact all the authors of all the worked we used, WITH permission and proper credits given. We are also currently working to prepare ground for the Greenlight release, and this work includes re-creating most, if not all of the contributed content ourselves. We are very grateful for all the contributed content and openly admit creating this mod wouldn't have been possible without contributions from the modding community. Please, don't go around saying we "stole" content because that is not the case. Thank you.
Thanks for clearing that up for us, my apologies for assuming things.

All those citizen skins and zombies were also released around the same time before I went on my first deployment. Even so, I still think it would be best for you to make your own content(I know now that you say you are)now that you're trying to get greenlit.
Anyway, I have to point that the mod has some models from another games/mods, like the Stryker (the four wheeled green APC with the opened door) that comes from America's Army, or the Jeep near of the end, that is a reskinned model of the jeep of District 9, as well as the "Combine APC model replacement" , or some isolated assets from Black Mesa. Anyway, I just finished the mod, and it has been great, especially the music. But the AI needs to be completely reworked (soldiers has the same AI than Black Mesa, and the zombies gets dumber when they can't reach you). EDIT: Oh well, they already say the America´s Army model on the credit list. My bad.
