Oh the legend of zelda and the past few mario games plus no more heroes are some of the best games I can remember this console generation.
Yea they made a lot of mario games I don't see your point. Its not like you have to buy every mario game. I mean the xbox has seen a new madden every year this has nothing to do with he xbox.
Nintendo fanboyism is amazing in this thread.
I'm not really impressed by the Wii U to be honest. I realize that Nintendo is trying to appeal to the 'core' audience. And, from what I've heard, it's a competitor to the 360 and PS3. But, it seems like a cop out to me. Let's face it, Nintendo is playing catch up. I think it's a pretty general consensus that they've fallen behind over the last few years. Which is good that they are getting back into the game, of course, but I really don't think shamming out a bunch of franchise games will really do them any good in the long run. Now, because I feel like it, and opinions are generally accepted better if you explain, I will do so.
First off, Skyward Sword:
The only major gripe I have with this is it seems uninspired, and a rehash of a series that have been in decline for the last couple of years. Trying to stay relevant. So far, it doesn't seem to bring much to the table in terms of gameplay innovation (that fucking inventory map separate screen thing doesn't count) and it looks rather bland. That being said, I've barely seen any of it. And thus, can't really say much in terms of how it will be as a game once shipped.
Next, Luigi's Mansion 2:
Yet another game Nintendo is trying to make relevant. But at least this one is a bit more obscure. (to mainstream audiences anyway). Not much to say other than it looks like Luigis mansion 1.
3DS Upmakes:
Not much to say here. Just games Nintendo seems to be capitalizing on from Nostalgia value.
WiiU console:
Honestly the highpoint of the conference, mainly because it was hyped up so much pre-announcement. To me, the console itself seems a bit wonky. It does cool things (then again, so did the Wii when it was announced, right?) and looks cool. But I can't help but get this feeling that Nintendo is slowly becoming foreign to me. So much so, it felt not so much a relief that they announced this, but a realization that they've drifted so far away from what apparent standards gamers (I hate this term) have deemed today.
Overall, I don't think that Nintendo won the conference this year. Simply because of how much potential all of this new hardware and software has. But the fact that half of it (Wii U) is currently unobtainable, and most of us have yet to actually understand it first hand (remember how strange it was to wrap your head around the 3DS without actually seeing it?) makes most of the Nintendo announcements pretty anticlimactic to me.
Though, that's just all my opinion, of course.
I'm not raging, when did I every write anything that implied me being even a little bit angry?
You're a giant walking contradiction, one moment you say it's okay to have opinions but than you go and say everyone agrees that the Microsoft conference wasn't exciting (because you've talked to everyone that's seen it right?) and say that any anyone that dislikes a console is "system raging", please just stop.
No there is a difference between not not liking a console for non valid reasons and admitting mircrosoft isn't targeting core gamers with there E3.

Im a pc gamer its just that a lot of the arguments I have been seeing against nintendo seemed to be fueled by fanboyism.

Why is it that deeming yourself a PC Gamer makes you automatically neutral to (or above in some cases) console wars? Plus, of course there will be fanboyism. It's a natural thing to defend something you enjoy. No need to diss people for disliking things because they're not what they like.
Oh, I see, just because I dislike the big bulky controller and the lack of exclusive games means my opinion is invalid?

No there is a difference between valid and non valid arguments. You were just saying that the wiiU was stupid because it looks like a ds.

Well because it means Im not defending nintendo because I simply bought the system. SUre being a fan is great but attacking other companies just because of it isn't.
What, when did I even say anything about the DS? I was talking about the Gameboy advance, another handheld from ten years ago.
Oh im sorry gameboy big difference.
And who cares if Microsoft isn't "targeting the core gamers with their E3", so what they decided to show something that isn't Gears of Duty: Reach, like they've at every E3 before the kinect was announced, it doesn't affect you at all, not everyone is a hardcore gamer.
It effects me because it shows that they will be spending more time making games the fans who aren't watching e3 care about. I mean casuals since its the ahrdcore that are watching it shouldn't they be addressing them?

Do I have to be of the Islam religion to read or agree with the Qu'ran? Must I be Homosexual to disagree with the Westburo Baptist Church?
Just because you're not associated with something doesn't mean you can't defend it.
God I hate the argument of "I have a 360, it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to be a fanboy!!"
Doesn't matter what you have, that doesn't mean shit. Nintendo is cashing in on franchises that have been milked far worse then CoD or anything, 100+ Mario games, 20-30 zeldas man not milked at all, wait 7-8 call of duties? What the fuck is this goddamn you Activision!!!!!!!!!!
Does that mean the Mario/Zelda/Whatever games are bad? Usually no, but that doesn't make it not a cashcow. Hell, they proved that with Kirby's epic yawn. Turns out they were to afraid of making a new IP and just slapped Kirby on it so it would sell better. Not milking though last e3 "Mario Galaxy 2 Mario Mario Donkey Kong Zelda Kirby goodbye"
This year "Mario Mario Mario Mario Mario Zelda Zelda Zelda Kirby Kirby Gimmick Console"
After how bad the Wii and Gamecube was in terms of support (Zelda and Kirby being literally the only games coming out at all for the wii for the rest of it's life) I'm not going to go saying another gimmick wins the confrense.
Will Luigi's Mansion 2 and the other games be good? Yeah probably (I hope so) but saying they have different maps is a excuse to milk them is pathetic, CoD has different maps too bros

Nope lol :v:
Wait unless me saying "Man this game looks fun" is considered whining, in which case red handed, guilty as charged!

yea Im defending nintendo but because I cant be a fanboy without really playing to much nintendo. Its like being a mac fanboy while owning a pc. Sure its possible but its rare.

Oh. Well then someone with a similar avatar was complaining. I tend to not look at usernames.
Still, there's only a new Zelda every few years, good sir.

Yea but practically all those zelda games have been good. I mean who cares how many call of duties they make as long as they are great no one would care. Milking should only matter if its something like sonic where the games are getting worse and you know they should spend more time making them. I could see if it was like that but the last few mario party games don't effect mario galaxy. I mean when zelda starts sucking then you can complain but shut up and drink the milk.

In that case: does it really freakin' matter? If the result of the milking is a great product, who gives a shit?
Fuck on a crutch, this is beginning to sound like an agricultural lecture.
Read my statement again "They're usually good but that doesn't stop them from being milked"
well who cares if they are milked then. Good milk is good milk.
Not sure if this was posted, but just for the sake of changing the subject this interview with John Carmack about RAGE is really interesting

If it wasn't $60 I'd be strongly considering buying it on release just because John Carmack is so honest about it
well who cares if they are milked then. Good milk is good milk.
Here's an analogy then:
If good milk is good milk, doesn't the age old saying state that "too much of a good thing can be bad".
Meaning, that if you drink the same milk over and over again, no matter its quality, won't it get bland after awhile?
Does anyone know why the IGN stream is just showing old footage? I thought there were supposed to be demoes.
-Nevermind- Deus Ex is on now
Someone else was also amazed with the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier + Kinect Support + weapon customization? I thought it was pretty insane to be able to customize each part of your weapon!

it aint bland yet. So far they have been able to make it knew enough to still feel fresh (except for maybe pokemon) so until then I don't see a reason to complain. Also nintendo knows if it stops making zelda for something new everyone would freak. So in other words its only good milk if its not stale milk.
First super secret sequel is Deus Ex 3.
I was hoping for announcements or something.

The new Tomb Raider preview that keeps playing sounds so much like rape it's scary.

How is DX3 super secret have you been under a rock for the past 4 years?
Who else hopes that one of the super secret sequels would be Mirrors Edge 2?
How is DX3 super secret have you been under a rock for the past 4 years?
Human revolution is a prequel.
I think he's talking a bout a proper sequel to Deus Ex 2.
Hope the secret is a bayonetta 2 trailer.
How is DX3 super secret have you been under a rock for the past 4 years?
It was under Super Secret Sequel #1 in IGNs schedule.
The second is the new Tomb Raider.
He's talking about gametrailers schedule thing, it has a list and one of the games that was a "super secret sequel" ended up being DX3.
Wait... when? what?
MY MIND!

of course they will milk Mario, it still makes money. You guys talk like nobody is buying these Mario games and they are causing Nintendo to lose money.
Super secret sequel 2 is...
...Far Cry 3. Not a secret at all.

Well its more of quality then how much they make. No one cares about the amount of money they make but the quality of the milk.
