WE'VE ADDED KINECT SUPPORT AKA LET'S SHOVE KINECT DOWN EVERYONES THROAT UNTIL THEY WANT TO KILL THEMSELVES
As much shit as Far Cry 2 got, I actually really enjoyed how open the game was. Far Cry 3 is right up there with Uncharted 3, Skyrim and Skyward sword. -For me.
I'm not really impressed by the Wii U to be honest. I realize that Nintendo is trying to appeal to the 'core' audience. And, from what I've heard, it's a competitor to the 360 and PS3. But, it seems like a cop out to me. Let's face it, Nintendo is playing catch up. I think it's a pretty general consensus that they've fallen behind over the last few years. Which is good that they are getting back into the game, of course, but I really don't think shamming out a bunch of franchise games will really do them any good in the long run. Now, because I feel like it, and opinions are generally accepted better if you explain, I will do so. First off, Skyward Sword: The only major gripe I have with this is it seems uninspired, and a rehash of a series that have been in decline for the last couple of years. Trying to stay relevant. So far, it doesn't seem to bring much to the table in terms of gameplay innovation (that fucking inventory map separate screen thing doesn't count) and it looks rather bland. That being said, I've barely seen any of it. And thus, can't really say much in terms of how it will be as a game once shipped. Next, Luigi's Mansion 2: Yet another game Nintendo is trying to make relevant. But at least this one is a bit more obscure. (to mainstream audiences anyway). Not much to say other than it looks like Luigis mansion 1. 3DS Upmakes: Not much to say here. Just games Nintendo seems to be capitalizing on from Nostalgia value. WiiU console: Honestly the highpoint of the conference, mainly because it was hyped up so much pre-announcement. To me, the console itself seems a bit wonky. It does cool things (then again, so did the Wii when it was announced, right?) and looks cool. But I can't help but get this feeling that Nintendo is slowly becoming foreign to me. So much so, it felt not so much a relief that they announced this, but a realization that they've drifted so far away from what apparent standards gamers (I hate this term) have deemed today. Overall, I don't think that Nintendo won the conference this year. Simply because of how much potential all of this new hardware and software has. But the fact that half of it (Wii U) is currently unobtainable, and most of us have yet to actually understand it first hand (remember how strange it was to wrap your head around the 3DS without actually seeing it?) makes most of the Nintendo announcements pretty anticlimactic to me. Though, that's just all my opinion, of course.
I agree, as much as I love Nintendo, they're so far behind. They need to realize that everyone already has a gaming system. They need something to persuade people to switch consoles, which, at the moment, they aren't really showing. And can they please make a normal controller. Holding that block will be uncomfortable as fuck. Nice avatar, BTW.

I mean they could have called it something else and kept the super power far cry going.

Thank fuck for the playstation vita, just had my junior state english exams and one of the questions was Write a review of a game console, I had just been lookin up a fuck load of shit last night about the PSVITA(instead of studyin hehehe) and everythin about it was fresh on my mind. Unfortunately this knowledge wont help me in my exams tomorrow lol
Fuck,I fell asleep. What were the "super secret sequels" from this schedule so far? http://83.84.18.218/e3/yt.php
Where is the DX3 stuff? Sure they didn't just put the title of something DXHR related as DX3? A lot of press still do that.
I missed most of E3 this year. Did Valve ever show up?
I missed most of E3 this year. Did Valve ever show up?
Not at all. Probably waiting till gamescom to show the Portal 2 DLC/DOTA2
Everyone watch this now board up your windows, it lives
I'm going to do that with my penis.
From this point anyone who mentions Valve should be banned for a day, they said they aren't there and it's flat out obnoxious seeing "DID THEY ANNOUNCE EP 3 YET??? WHERE IS GABE!!!!!!!!!!!" every page.
Nobody covering Focus Home Interactive's games yet? Sigh...
What were the two Super Secret Games? Does anyone know?
What were the two Super Secret Games? Does anyone know?
They were already announced games because IGN is an awful site
Frankly, at this point, I don't care if Nintendo is just using the same old IPs, or if their tech still isn't very good, or if one of the pixels is worse than it would be on Xbox or whatever. I'm just happy that they didn't try to bloodily shove some bullshit motion control down everyone's throats with awful minigames and embarrassing demonstrations. They just said "Yep, here's some games that you'll all probably buy and have fun with. Oh yeah and a new console that'll probably be controversial for a few months and then everybody will buy it anyways. Also look forward to some of this stuff from third party developers. Alright then, bye." And that's it. No "Good Job, Jeremy" or Mr. Caffeine -snip this part I'm late-
They were already announced games because IGN is an awful site
...So what were they?
They were already announced games because IGN is an awful site
Are you telling me the games in question are Sly Cooper 4, Furious 4 and Halo 4? Bull.
...So what were they?
Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, Farcry 3, Final Fantasy 13-2. That's what they were at the time slots anyway. Actually, were you talking about the ones from yesterday? Halo CE Anniversary and Ms. 'Splosion Man(w/e the fuck that is) Basically, none were ever secret at all.
Nintendo is holding some kind of a joint Q&A session with Ubisoft right now, and Kotaku is liveblogging it at http://kotaku.com/5810131/live-at-ubisoft-and-nintendos-mysterious-e3-qa-event. So far, they've talked about Ghost Recon Online. The way it uses the controller seems pretty cool.
I think I'm most interested in Lego City Stories honestly. Something about a Lego GTA-like game sounds awesome. Hell, it even has the same exact minimap.
Well its more of quality then how much they make. No one cares about the amount of money they make but the quality of the milk.
they care how much money they make, and obviously people still enjoy Mario otherwise they wouldn't be making money. You guys have to understand that our little gamer forum circlejerk is a total minority when it comes to gaming. The majority of gamers don't even follow gaming news or anything.
fuck I missed bioshock infinite
fuck I missed bioshock infinite
On IGN? It was a 8 minute interview of stuff we already know because IGN is fucking terrible at asking good questions.
I think I'm most interested in Lego City Stories honestly. Something about a Lego GTA-like game sounds awesome. Hell, it even has the same exact minimap.
Rockstar will never do that, but anything similar to it sounds very interesting.
I think I'm most interested in Lego City Stories honestly. Something about a Lego GTA-like game sounds awesome. Hell, it even has the same exact minimap.
Same here. I'm honestly intrigued by the idea of the Lego brand indirectly taking on a franchise like GTA. Hell, maybe that's just because I'm sick of seeing them rehash Lego Star Wars for every high-profile franchise ever.
Rockstar will never do that, but anything similar to it sounds very interesting.
Yeah, I know Rockstar won't, but the game is a free roam Lego game with stealing and killing(the kind of killing like that of all Lego games anyway) and the minimap is the same graphic as Rockstar's.
