Me and my friend are playing a game of Civ 5 on a team of 2 vs 3 other teams of 2. We always play on the default/normal difficulty and I never do very well but this time round we've nearly eliminated everybody else. Only me, my friend, one French city and the whole of China is left. I fear that China might have a gigantic army waiting since we've barely seen any of their units throughout the game. We should win though because my friend owns 2/3 of the map now :v:
Managed to win a diplomatic victory on very huge earth map yesterday, I was #1 in all the stats at the end screen and could have easily one by culture, science or by wiping everyone out...actually considering how long it takes to get anywhere on huge it would've taken a while on the last one.
Huge Earth map with prince difficulty. Nothing too hard but i am just seeing how this goes mostly. Right now since the start of my game i have played peacefully and just made everyone friends with me. Then 3 times Russia stab me in the back so when they did it the third time i acted. Good thing most powerful nation declared war on Russia too so they faced two front war. With ease i marched through their land like a tide wave.
1. Bismarck 2. Napoleon 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Only need a few more.
Montezuma will attack you, call peace, rinse and repeat every 10 fucking turns. He's a huge prick.

So, after decades (a century maybe?) of "cold war" between Greece and my Civ, a real war actually started when Alexander attacked my Inca bros in 2107. The whole ex-Carthaginian continent was a battlefield until he nuked one of the colonies I had established on it in 2111. I immediately nuked Athens and Argos and peace was made.
Your economy isn't doing too well mate
Nothing I could of really done since I couldn't explore. Had that entire island to myself.
Nothing I could of really done since I couldn't explore. Had that entire island to myself.
thats why I always play Kamehaegthfdhr um the Polynesian guy

Siams always been ridiculously friendly to me whenever I've played against him. The most he's ever done is denounced me when I had an army capable of destroying planets.
- - - when I had an army capable of destroying planets.
If only it were possible to have so much power you could rip the entire space-time continuum.
i want more space-units like, hovertanks and power-armored soldiers, shit like that would be awesome
Now I see why almost everyone in the world is at war with Greece. Alexander just tried to backstab me, so I sent 2 atomic bombs their way and took two cities. We signed a peace treaty, yet he continues to move soldiers to the front lines. Too bad, since I have 3 Modern Armor units waiting for him at the border.
i want more space-units like, hovertanks and power-armored soldiers, shit like that would be awesome
Imagine if you could move to space and explore it like at the start, building cities, gathering resources and fighting other civilizations. You could research space related technologies too.

I'd play that

It could also introduce a 3D grid because... space isn't flat, right?
I hate Siam's AI, he always acts like a douche to me for no reason. He insults me if my millitary is too weak, he insults me if it's too strong, he insults me if I'm not generating a lot of culture and he insults me if I build a lot of wonders.
I hate that I wasted 2 of my nukes on cities that I took. The nuclear fallout is rendering some of the farmland useless, and it will be awhile before I can get workers over there to build roads to connect the towns to my trade route.
Started out a new game after my old one crashed. Started out as Monty on a peninsula, blocked in by Ethiopia at one end. Thankfully, he was conquered by the Greeks in the first 50 turns in a joint Greek/Chinese offensive. Unfortunately, then Alexander turned his attention to me. I managed to repel his armies though. Now I'm in an alliance with Russia, England and the Iroquois. Alexander is all alone on one end of the continent, boxed in by desert.
i want more space-units like, hovertanks and power-armored soldiers, shit like that would be awesome
I'd like to see more near future stuff, VTOL jets, some sort of counter to ICBMs, another "super weapon" type unit, maybe being able to make terror attacks with spies? Would be cool to be able to research viral engineering and then have a special agent unleash your new toy on someone's capital.
Ethiopia is such a bro in Gods and Kings, every game I've had he allies up with me for the entire game.
You can make terror attacks with spies in civ 2 but none of the others
That's it. We should create an open-source Civilization that isn't as buttfucking complicated as FreeCiv. I'll be the ideas guy. First civ: The Netherlands. They must have immense power and reach the atomic era in 10 turns!!1!!1111
You're on prince difficulty and you're only generating 367 science and -36 gold? the fuck man
I didn't say i was good in civilization. Also that whole war effort had effectively ruined my economy that was in bad state even at start of the war. All that time waging a war on Russia really asked for was just crap.
How moddable is Civ V ? I'm considering trying myself at a total conversion, but I don't know how much is possible.
For some reason I can't research Rifling. I've researched Metallurgy, and then it skips over to Dynamite. I've also researched that and I still don't get the Rifling research option. Now I have Howitzers for sieges but still crappy Muskets backing them up. Help?

I'd love to see a "silo" tile improvement, similar to those in DEFCON, with global range and attack/air defense modes, air defense would have a fair chance of succeding in destroying enemy ICBM's, but you could make/buy MIRV's for a higher price with the certainty of going through the missile defenses, along with the bonus of more damage. That would make nuclear wars a bit more interesting, maybe cheapening the ICBM's too, with a late game technology, so you could have something closer to a MAD scenario.
So im new to this game and... apparently i signed a peace treaty with Alexander without my consent even though i was in his territory and was about to take one of his cities. Does the game usualy do this or something? i mean sign peace treaties without the players consent.

I've had it happen where I was hitting enter a few times (because it was slow, I know it does nothing, but it makes me feel better) and the default option was "accept" so I accepted a peace treaty.
