Civilization V - Civ: causing all nighters since 1991

So how hard would it be to make a custom tile?
What I'm thinking of is like a grey sand tile that works for a "nuclear wasteland" sort of thing. It would pop up either after a strike or after a few strikes(like that never ending nuclear war civ 4 match). No improvements and something else. This is starting to sound like a full blown mod :v:
How the fuck do I stop a city producing stuff. It's annoying when my capital city has no option other than to continually produce units non stop.
I have like forty lots of archers. And That's the LEAST common unit I use.

When you get further along, you'll get the option to do eithe research or wealth, which turns production to gold or science.

Sell them. You get gold if you retire units in your territory. So for now you have a small gold factory until you can produce other things or just set it to gold/research.

You could also give away a lot of them to a city-state for influence.
How much food do these fuckers want jeez
Does anyone know exactly what is meant when someone says "Tall Empire" or "Wide Empire"? Are they literally talking about whether they expand north/south or east/west or does it have a deeper meaning I'm not aware of?
Tall is a small amount of cities, but they're stronger and have higher stats, powergaming.
Wide is a large amount of cities, but they're all generally weaker and have lower stats, rushing.
Tall refers to high city population, low amount of cities. Wide refers to low city population, lots of cities. When you try to go wide and tall, your citizens become quite unhappy.
Ah. I tend to go wide then, but my cities are not usually weak. Around 11-12 population per city and lots of improvements.

When you're too tall you can go in deep all the way, but there'll be some left over that won't get in, therefore generating unhappiness.
I just figured out I can manually assign specialist.
Jesus Christ, I'm surprised. I've played this game for a year and I'm still learning how to do shit. Might explain why I suck hard at the harder difficulties.
"I'm new to the game"
-gets rated dumb
You're an idiot, Garrity828.
Is it possible to replenish strategic resources (more specifically, iron) without having to build another mine?
Is it possible to replenish strategic resources (more specifically, iron) without having to build another mine?
What's this? They don't constantly reproduce themselves after they've gone (I.e. Been traded?)
Is it possible to replenish strategic resources (more specifically, iron) without having to build another mine?
Each strat resource will give "x" number of resources, and each building / unit will use 1 of it. (baring nukes, which take 2 uranium)
When the unit dies / building is removed, the resource is freed up.
If you want more, you'll need to settle more / trade more for it.

That actually reminds me, I was doing a multiplayer game with a friend a few days ago
I've got one tile with iron on it for miles, 9 iron, The mine I build on it gets pillaged, I decide "instead of repairing the mine, I've got a great engineer here, I'll just build a manufactory on top of it"
The iron then bugged out, locked at 0 (-3 because I had 3 Samurai), removing the manufactory made my iron go to -9 (-12), fucking up every samurai I had on the borders of India.
It was too late, I had already started the war.
I'm almost ready to research bombers, should I denounce my enemy and then delcare war and bomb the shit out of them with planes or should I just send in a fuckton of infantry?
If you guys are looking for civ 5 Gods and kings for cheap
http://www.intkeys.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=74&products_id=364
It is $10
I bought Gods and Kings only because the Netherlands civ was in it :eng101:
Okay, I have gone with the bomb/battleship/missile tactic (basically setting up a town right next to theirs, declaring peace and then ramping up production in that city to build the stuff). Any tips?
Right so I've owned Civ V since it came out and I've barely been able to play it.
-It crashes about 10-30 mins after I load a game.
-After a year of saving up I bought a really good graphics card, yet that didn't solve the problem.
-I've tried talking to the help support, but they're all idiots.
-It still crashes even if all graphical options are on low

I think it may be a problem with RAM. idk.
Any ideas?

If by "give away" you mean "use to attack", and by "Influence" you mean "shits and giggles"...then yes.
I'm being told Gods and Kings is worth getting, but despite the steam sale I don't have enough steam wallet cash to get it there. Can anyone vouch for this intkeys site, just make sure it's a good source to get the game from?

8gb ram? Should be fine. I have 4 and that's a bit on the low side for the game.
Fun is watching the Aztec nation get steamrolled because the majority of their army is trapped in a small patch of unclaimed territory in the middle of my nation and I keep refusing them open borders.

I doubt it has anything to do with hardware, because we have virtually the same specs.
However, it could be a compatability issue with Vista. To try an all- around fix, right click on it in Steam, click Properties, and scroll through those tabs until you see the button that says "Verify Integrity of the Game Files" and select that. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't do jack shit.
(Also, you might want to look into better CPU's for future reference. That is the only thing that looks like it's lagging behind a little as far as your specs)

Intkeys is okay as long as the game isn't region locked (the G&K page says it's region free, so it should be fine). You can pay through Paypal, so if there are any issues, you can file a dispute through them or your credit card.
Is there anything else I need to know?
In particular, I want to know if you can still view cities up close like in Civ III.

I bought deus ex human revolution from them and they were legit.
