Civilization V - Civ: causing all nighters since 1991 - Games

Figured this would be the best place to ask, I just got this game not too long ago, and every leader looks like this [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/918987149705761835/7CFE17C7CCF2564AA9A707D48D7ED7EA2FAB7C8A/[/t] Running the game maxed out in DX10/11 mode, any idea what might be causing this? Also my GPU doesn't support DX11, but that shouldn't be the cause, I think.

Maybe every leader is Alexander Of Greece?

I'd imagine it's intkeys or a similar site. They buy legit Russian copies and sell the keys, as games in Russia are dirt cheap in a way to try to combat the rampant piracy due to a lack of dispensable income. I'd link, but I'm on a restricted wi-fi connection.

I wish there were a way to capture enemy units that you could then ransom off, put to slavery, counter-engineer their shit. Maybe monte could sacrifice them for culture. Anyway, do you guys know why a mod I subscribed to isn't showing up on the game? it was on the mods tab, it started downloading, I switched to a different thing (it was windowed) and then it was gone.

I remember playing this at a friends house when it first came out, I absolutely loved it but I'm still not sure if I should buy it, and either way, it's still a tad too expensive for me.

And Gods and kings, it really improves the game a ton.

Recently picked up Sid Meir's Civilization Revolution for PS3, and I am having so much fun. The animations are pretty good, though the talking to Civ's mean they speak gibberish. But not all bad.

I installed it directly after deleting all items in the cache folder which crashes my modded games, I unabled it, which crashes my mod list. Deleted it from the folder, still does it. Deleted cache and restarted steam, finally made it work again. Damn that ethnic unit mod, does anyone know a goo mod for unique civ unit skins?

What are some good earth maps that have correct civilization starting points? All the Earth maps don't seem to work for me.

Then again, I suppose it depends on which one you're using.

I'm currently doing a Duel map with 22 AI civilizations, going for Science or Diplomatic victory (All Civs love me except for Attila and Denmark, both of which are trying to invade others, about to wipe em out.)

Are there any mods that removes the Civ limit to the game so I can put more than 22 civs in one game? [editline]6th September 2012[/editline] Also is there a mod that increases or removes the map size limits from Worldbuilder?

Playing Darius is awesome. I stay golden forever with Chichen Itza and Taj Mahal and just sacrificing extra Great Generals for Golden Ages (not too much) and Satraps just makes me shit money everywhere. Persia is my favorite Civ.

I play without G+K. I enjoy it.

Alone, it's still a very good game. If you do figure out you like it further down the line, though, I'd definitely recommend getting Gods and Kings just because it makes it so much better.

I've got an unused Steam key for Civ5 that I got as a preorder bonus from another online shop. Not too interested in Civ5, so I'd be willing to part with it for a few bucks...say..15€. Send me a PM if you're interested.
