Finally went back and finished the first game I ever started. I played as china, and had nearly and entire continent to myself with only two city-states. I only managed to move to one other continent after Askia declared war on and took over Venice, who I was friends with at the time. So, I took back venice, and three of his cities before he gave me a shitload of stuff for a peace treaty. Then Ramkamhaeng and I kicked his ass after the treaty ended, because he was a douchebag that kept declaring war on everyone. Then afterwards, Rammy and I were in first and second place, and all the other countries were in the 700s, ranking wise. It was me and Rammy, we each had our own continent to ourselves, and all the other countries were on the same continent and constantly going to war with each other. Eventually, Ramkamhaeng decided to declare war on them to take more land, but then I realized I was able to build a fucking space rocket, so after a while, I launched the rocket and won. This game is great, I really should get the GOTY edition.

In this case, Russia and Mongolia had been conquered early in the game and were liberated after I had researched Satellites. I could contact them, but I had never actually met them so they ended up stuck in this bizarre limbo. EDIT: I knew being sandwiched between Attila, Nebuchadnezzar and Caesar was not going to go well. All three declare war in three successive turns. Thankfully I only lost Lyon to the Huns, and they ended up razing it so I'll just take the territory back anyway. And now I know I need to build up my military.

Anyone have any suggestions for fun matches to play in this? I always end up playing 3 v 3 west vs east, or an islands map

Does anyone know if the SDK allows for total conversions? It's neat that you can create custom civs and religions etc, but can you make custom tech trees and import custom models?
