i'm too impatient to play multiplayer people take way too longer than me to finish turns
I find that people only take long turns if they're at war, well the people I play with seem to do take longer when at war (myself included)
I take long turns because I'm thinking long term about everything and sometimes I phase out
Right now doing a standard game on a contient with maxed out nations and cities states playing as America. I kinda have my goal to protect all the city states and make them my fiends, Luckily this map all the city states some how are lined up along one coast line on the east side, So i'm putting them right behind me and fuckin arabia comes up and pops a settlement in my way therefor his border now blocks me (before it was just leaving a valley of territory between the city states and him). So the faggot denouced me and said "you can't have all this land like you've been taking it", So I declared war took that settlement out the way, and took all his front line towns one being his capital all in 5 turns and he asked for peace treaty the turn after the last settlement got razed asshole
Me and a friend are organizing a game so: Only come to play if you have 4-5+ (will probably realistically be around 3 hours but we dont need retards starting a game RIGHT before they go to bed) hours to spare and only play if you're serious about playing, our last game was fun but we want to play an actual serious game and the players in the game kinda ruined it. We'll probably be doing a free-for-all with some AIs, but if you have a better game idea, feel free to tell me. add: essilence on steam, and if that doesn't work "Eeshton"

No wonders Warriors only Final Destination
Babby shit.
Not hardcore enough. No resources. Japan only. Information era. Archipelago.
What the fuck Persia... you have the balls to demand all that shit.
legitimate question; Has anybody ever actually encountered these infamous "rebels" that you're supposed to get if you hit below 30 Happiness? I've never gotten them before, and I've only seen them like, in one video online.
I once hit negative 40 happiness when Germany gave me 8 cities as part of a peace agreement. 6 Rebel great war infantry in the capital sucks.
What the fuck Persia... you have the balls to demand all that shit.
You're ahead in tech, you would value it more and get more out of it, therefore he'll charge you. Not to mention that he's a dick, anyway. The horses are likely valueless, and can be removed. Also, if Darius isn't the bottom player with those stats relative to you, consider moving up a difficulty level.
Loving gods and kings so far. Only things I have a problem with so far is what seems to be the removal of culture bombing with artists, and that scientists don't automatically earn you a new tech, it just shaves a few turns off of the research.
Both of these are good balances imo, also great generals are the one who culture bomb, well, technically they build a citadel and it captures territory.
ehh, i didn't think there was a problem with them before really, but thats just me. Just kinda don't like how it seems that Gods and Kings completely neutered the Great People aside from generals/admirals.
How is making the great scientists not OP "neutered"? You do realize they could complete a tech that you had 30 turns on instantly and boost you ahead an era? The effort it takes to get a great prophet isn't exactly balanced with the reward. You still get a tech instantly if you only have like 8-10 turns on it.
great merchants are so underrated that cash and influence boost can be such a godsend during times of war
Get deep into a game. Windows DEP shuts the game down.
oh hello there http://cdr.xpaw.ru/app/221520/
How is multiplier in Civ? It takes me a couple days of playing for a few hours a time to end a game, how does that work in multiplayer?
Well there's a combo multiplier for each move you pull on your enemies, spies have a wicked combo, its like Steal Tech -> Uppercut -> Right Hook x2 -> Kill Nation
How is multiplier in Civ? It takes me a couple days of playing for a few hours a time to end a game, how does that work in multiplayer?
It depends, really. My friend ryan takes about double the time I do to end turns, it really relies on the slowest person out there.
Get deep into a game. Windows DEP shuts the game down.
Reload an autosave, it's saved my ass many times in that situation.
It depends, really. Like you can save the match and get back together and continue at a later date.
So do the matches last hours or can they go for days. Like you can save the match and get back together and continue at a later date.
Yes, MP matches can be saved and loaded later. I've done it countless times.
I'm considering getting Civ V, just one question: Is it at all possible to create an Orwellian, 1984-esque Dystopia?
Reload an autosave, it's saved my ass many times in that situation.
I have autosave set for every three turns because of this shit heh
I'm considering getting Civ V, just one question: Is it at all possible to create an Orwellian, 1984-esque Dystopia?
Civ 5 doesn't really have much in the way of Internal politics.
Fuck, playing a Small Fractal map. Started on a useless little island, quickly expanded to 4 neighbouring islands and build up a navy. Now I find there is not a single piece of coal available to me. The rest of the world worth owning has been claimed. Now I'm stuck without ironclads or being able to upgrade me melee navy units. Should I give up on being able to kick ass in combat and focus on another sort of victory? Due to my starting placement on a useless island I had a pretty slow start so all the AI players are on-par with me or there-abouts. I'm also at the part of the game I have the most trouble and least fun with - atomic era. Seems to drag on here.

Then, just upgrade all your ships to ironclads, and then to destroyers immediately after. Destroyers won't need coal unless you're playing the Smokey Skies scenario.
Ah yeah, I just jumped back in and allied with a city state who had some coal. Then I realised destroyers didn't need coal. Still stuck in the stagnation of this period of the game though, definitely my least favourite part.
Quick question; has anybody ever noticed a slight amount of ringing in some of the ingame audio? I thought I heard some in one of the Egyptian combat songs that periodically play, but it could just be an issue with my sound card/setup or something.
