Can't wait,this and F1 2010 come out on the same day. :D
Still, looking forward for this one... though the system reqs keep me sceptic... :frown:
Why?
I hope the games in this don't end like the ones in Civ 4 did with my friends... NUKES GLOBAL WARMING NUKES NUKES GLOBAL WARMING GLOBAL WARMING
I can still remember my old Civ game. I was China, I kept nuking the Zulus next door and they kept asking me to stop 'for the sake of the earth'. Then the water levels started rising, just before the game ends the zulu send me a message 'would you be able to send us the secret of WRITING?'.
Man, such a long time and the civ games are still based on a grid. For once I would like to see a game like civ without a grid and with realistic proportions.
The only problem i have with civ games is shit like units taking several years to get from one city to another or a modern transport boat not being able to traverse the globe in one turn seriously
Will go to midnight release
I hope this game is great. I lan with Hatsen and somehow i beat shit up in III with the vikings but in 4, he assimilates me with culture. I feel underpowered. I WANT MY POWER AND BERSERKS BACK!!!
I like the new grid system that has been introduced.
Wow, I haven't seen any art for this game before. It looks fantastic.
Woot?! 20 days away from the new Civ? I never knew. Pre-ordering, brb.
No Fins? :frown: Other then that, do want, can't wait :buddy:
If you are not quite sure if your computer can handle such epicness, check the system requirements lab "Can You Run It?", as they had added Civ 5 to the list of games you can check your PC specs against, and tells you how good your specs are against the minimum and recommended specs.

Can you Run it has been quite succesfull in the past for my machine. It told me I could rune SC2, I could. It told me I could rune MW2, I could.

You could've found out that you could run those games by looking up the requirements and comparing them to your specs.
I know :p But im lazy.
This comes out on my birthday, I'm gonna ask for it. Anyway enough about personal shit, the new civ looks awesome. Edit: I got it for my birthday!
My dad pre-ordered it as soon as you could on Steam.
Why the fuck is there never a Canadian civilization. :(
Pre-order from Play.com and get exclusive Cradle of Civilization: The Mediterranean map. Pre-order from Play.com and get exclsuive Cradle of Civilization: The Americas map.
It's too much for me... Looks like, once more, I'll be waiting for the steam sales. Civ4+all expansions for £7 :fap: I just hope the AI aren't too good, I'm pretty bad at Civ games, I just enjoy playing them a lot.
Why the fuck is there never a Canadian civilization. :(
Because it's not a civilisation. :v: Gosh Civ is the only strategy tactical game am looking forward to after the settlers 4 :/
I wonder if the menu music will be as good as Baba Yetu?
Anyone care to gift me the game via steam for $50? Don't particularly feel like paying $80 just because I live in Australia, especially considering the strength of our dollar VS the US dollar.
oh look a beggar
Generally beggars don't offer money? I'm more like the disheveled looking kids outside the liquor store, asking people to go in for them.
This game seems pretty good, I enjoyed Civ4 and I like the new graphics. Might buy it later this year, but why did they remove the Dutch empire :frown:
if this game does not have the high council from civ 2 i shall go on a muderous rampage
I wonder if the menu music will be as good as Baba Yetu?
oops, thanks for reminding me of it, now its stuck in mah head again...
I've been lurking on the forums, and these are a few points that I've picked up: Barbarians now start with camps, which act as spawn points, making them harder to remove and more annoying (but don't forget that cities can defend themselves). Terra maps will return. There is a 36 page thread trying to explain to people what steam is. They are currently up to describing the cloud save system. Nukes can now completely destroy cities, unlike in Civ 4. Cities can grow to 37 hexes in size. You can simplify how much you need to micromanage a city. As well as no religions, there will be no corporations. Advisers will only be words on a screen, not like Civ 2. EDIT: Added a load of new article links in the OP.
