Due too a incredibly lucky spawn point with 5 ruins around me I managed to get a rifleman in turn 2. :wtc:
napoleon is an asshole stop having a shitfest whenever I built a city near you goddamnit
You think that's bad? Gandhi just declared war with me because I had too many units near his borders. They were on a peaceful mission, I swear! No, they weren't preparing for an invasion... Fucken Gandhi!
Too bad I cant do shit with it cuz I'm on a small island all alone. [editline]08:51PM[/editline] Fuck my automerge
Anyone else got hated and got declared to war by every city state because of exploring and crossing their borders a few times? The "suspicion out of your actions and movement" thing.
HNNNNG so tempted to buy Civ V. It's this or Dead rising 2...
I chose Civ over DR2.
I chose Civ over DR2.
Aw hell, I'm gonna buy it, I get paid on October 1st anyway.

It's surprisingly quite fun to play on Settler.

GHANDI WONT LEAVE ME ALONE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Im being all peaceful and stuff, got some military surrounging my city. Ghandi makes a fucking city one tile from my capitals border. "We're to close" He declares war. FDGUJHSDGJKLSHDGLKJHSDKJG
it should go if that you were there first, the other guy should fuck off
I played as ghandi I though, "Hmm, since I'm ghandi, I should try doing a diplomatic victory for fun!" I ended up glassing all of China, Japan, and several city states' land with nuclear missiles.

Or doesn't that work very well?
Some guy like 'psst, lets kill Russia!' and I'm like 'OK, just give me 10 turns' So I walk over to Russia and I'm like 'Hey this guys going to att-' and she's all like 'We were just talking about you, all bad things I can assure you'. Fuck that bitch.
Reading through the thread Ghandi is truly a hardcore motherfucker, it's not only in my game that he some sort of Indian Hitler. dangit, sister playing l4d2 Dowload paused :byodood::byodood::byodood: [editline]07:56PM[/editline] so fucking annoyingggggggg [editline]08:01PM[/editline]
Reading through the thread Ghandi is truly a hardcore motherfucker, it's not only in my game that he some sort of Indian Hitler. The fun
Y'know the little voice overs you get at the start of a match telling you about your leader? How come the ones for America and England are REALLY good, done in an epic voice, while any Civ that isn't America or England are fucking speedread by some dude in a monotone voice. :colbert:
Also, the American leader introduction seems to think 100 years is "a few short years", it annoys me slightly.
Civilization 3 was probably my favorite of all of them. I remember when I first played it, and I had Swordsmen and Archers while my closest allies had tanks. I felt so left behind. But yeah.
I have never played a Civ game. I would like to, but I never get round to buying one. Wait, actually I might have years ago once. I remember I kept sending female spies to the other country and stuff. Right game?

I'm playing on level 7 difficulty and I'm finding it piss easy to win wars by just taking out the enemy's AA and then just pestering them with my bombers till' they die. The AI never bothers to make any fighter planes, at least from my experience.
So the multiplayer is really lacking at the moment. The thing that bothered me most is that there's apprently no option to save your game... what the hell? Also the animations don't play for unit movements and such, it's a bit dull now. It's fun, but they can't expect anyone to completel a MP game of Civ in a few hours without saving... unless you just keep it running. :v:

I think most people would prefer short matches when they're playing online over the long drawn out ones you usually see with the game. Casual it up, yeah I just said it. If I wanted a hardcore marathon I would just play by myself, so I don't need to rely on other people "showing up" to continue the game. I'd imagine that to get real annoying, real fast.
Holy shit. I gave a city state one unit of mechanized infantry in 1700. They just captured Rome AND another Roman city. I though city states were programmed not to try and expand. Has this happened to anyone else?

I don't want some casual gamemode for MP, what we get right now is extremely watered down and feels unfinished. I just hope the developers will realize this and implement the things I said in a future update.
Cower before me, for it is the year 1720, and I am at future tech level 7.
Willing to trade a Vindictus beta key for Civ V. PM me or message me on steam if you are interested.
Willing to trade a Vindictus beta key for Civ V. PM me or message me on steam if you are interested.
I'd be willing to give away free Vindictus keys because they're certainly not worth Civ V
I own one half of the Earth and Napoleon owns the other, but I disabled timed victory. This game will never end.
