On Civ 3 I was always just behind a quite a bit behind on tech, on Civ 5 I'm way ahead and had a city churning out Death robots in 16 turns.
:master:
Well then what happens at 2050 if Time isn't a victory condition? Is it a draw?
Your assets are converted into points and whoever has the most points wins.
Hmm, I thought there's a 500 turn limit...
Can you continue playing after 2050 though? I remember I could in previous Civ games. [editline]12:12PM[/editline]
I know right, every time i see a quote from "George Bush" i chuckle... TEEHEE
Or the achievements. Like the one called "I'm on a boat!"
:v: Civilization is great in having the little things.
This is my first Civ game and I love it, but the one thing i really don't like beyond the first dozen or so turns is the auto-center on units. Is there a way to turn it off?
Anyone know a way to turn off the clouds? In return C:\Users\USER\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5 and open UserSettings.ini and set SkipIntroVideo = 0 to 1 to turn off intro video
Wow, I got stuck in a peace treaty with Japan that I never agreed to in the first place. Thus rendering the huge army I massed at its boarders useless. [editline]07:26PM[/editline] 30 turns later, still stuck in this god damn peace treaty.
Just attack, when it asks if you wanna declare war say yes and rape away.
Playing as germany, i was raping romans. Suddently they wanted peace, and offered me 10 of their cities and some gold and stuff. After the 10 turn peace I attacked them and erased them from the history books.
Just attack, when it asks if you wanna declare war say yes and rape away.
You can't declare war when you have a peace treaty. Or at least for me the button was grayed out when I tried it.
You can't declare war when you have a peace treaty. Or at least for me the button was grayed out when I tried it.
Odd what country are you, I never have it blocked out. Its how I shit on everyone else, but I also usually play as Russia, USA, or Germany.
Odd what country are you, I never have it blocked out. You can still march all your units through the enemy borders, but I couldn't attack anything until the peace treaty ended, and the declare war button was grayed out in the diplomacy menu.

King difficulty is just perfect for me. The massive wars you get into all the damn time are just awesome. I have been playing a game for maybe 10 hours or so, and i have constantly been in a war with atleast 2 people who greatly outnumber me. It's a bloody fight for survival. I had been fighting the Russians for ages, which could "wipe me off the planet". They had far superior numbers and technologies, but somehow i kept them at bay. Sometimes i was fighting 4 superior civs at a time, but i still managed to survive! This game is so intense, it's unbelievable. 1 mistake, and i'm dead. Miraculously, i'm actually at peace with everyone for the moment, but EVERYONE else is at war, even all the city states. Huge battles across the whole world taking place now. I swear their armies are endless. Just infinite hordes of pikemen, musketmen and swordsmen. It's quite ridiculous. The degree of tactics and planning you must use at this difficulty and above is so satisfying.
Maybe its your policy, I always take the militaristic ones.
Can't be though, I was able to declare war on everyone else, which I eventually did because I was so bored.
Anyone else finds the music in this game horrendous compared to CIV? It feels like 5 seconds of music looping over and over sometimes, and there aren't that many tracks too. I loved how in CIV there were like 10 tracks for each age and they all fit to their ages, I never heard anyone say they didn't like the music in CIV, although a fair minority didn't like the music in the modern and future age, which I can understand. The sounds of the leaders when they talk with you is also horrendous, they only have like 3 lines for each sort of dialog, so whenever Gandhi offers me something I hear a line that I've already heard at least 10 times already. I'm only in my second game and I'm already sick of half of the leaders just because of how their annoying dialog sounds. Next time I play I'll try to put the leader graphics thing in the minimum level where they are just pictures and hopefully it will remove the speeches as well. Anyone else thinks the same? Also, if anyone knows if there's a way to import CIV's music so that it will play in ciV, each music according to its era too? I'll be forever thankful.

I don't like that music. It sounds just bad. Don't get why everyone is loving this song.
Hw come Ghandi is so much powerful than any nations in my game?? He has like 3,000 Gold and a huge army and territory ..he also has like 2,000 points while everyone else is at around 200 me included
Woo, I'm now the only civ on my continent (minus city-states).
I don't like that music. It sounds just bad. Don't get why everyone is loving this song.
You're the first person I've met that didn't like Baba Yetu. The only diplomacy theme I like is the African guy with the scene of the city and countryside burning.

There are only like two tracks for each leader. One for peace, one for war.

They also have over 4000 points i believe. They are completely nuts.
The theme in question. I have yet to see an AI that isn't bankrupt yet but I haven't been to Prince yet.
Is it wrong that I didn't like Baba Yetu the first time I heard it, but learned to love it after a while? :ohdear:
Is it wrong that I didn't like Baba Yetu the first time I heard it, but learned to love it after a while? :ohdear:
Happens to me all the time with music, I seem to like it more as I associate it more and more with positive memories.
