Civilization V - Civ: causing all nighters since 1991

My only gripe about Civilization V is how it fucking crashes every 10 minutes for me.
I love the game to bits and that just makes it all the worse when i see the "Civilization V has stopped working..." window pop up. =/
Play in DX9 if you're playing in 10 or vice versa?

Its only happened once in my 20-odd hours of playtime.
I think the AI needs some tweaking. It's too damn aggressive at times. Especially, when they all dog-pile someone (usually me...).
Oh, it was released? Gotta pick dis up.

Yes, well, Random Personalities make quite different... :buddy:
Alright so summing it up for me:
The Good:
- The combat system is much better than in any other Civ.
- A lot of stuff has been streamlined in a good way.
- Feels polished and pretty complete, also feels more "concentrated" than other Civs.
The bad:
- Some streamlining wasn't really needed, removed some depth from the game.
- Menu music and background doesn't give the same feeling of Civ4.
- Again, some of the changes removed some depth, hopefully will be somewhat fixed with expansions.
Ugh I can't stand how ugly roads and rivers are. Not to mentions roads act retarded when you place them.
Just crashed after an awesome game duel game, just expanded and built upgrades to my cities without a real focus on military. I was getting a new policy every 10 turns.
How is this compared to Civ IV?
I want the ability to draw the roads or have them just be straight lines.
I'm tired of my workers making retarded figure-8's and unnecessary curves when I just want a simple "Point A to Point B" road system.
What do plantations do? 1 thing I am hating about this game is how vague some things are...

I know what you mean, the auto road is freaking broken. If where you want to build a road to has a road connected they will run over there and start over there for 1 block.

You build plantations on sugar.

yeah, workers lay roads as hell, i have 1 part where its like a maze with bridges and roads all over the place.
And i managed to wipe out bismarck :woop:, its going rather well for a second game, i already wiped out alexander too, and got gunpowder. just have to defeat the chinese and another civ and i got the island for myself.
Tough, i have the bad feeling about unmet players, i suddenly saw a message of some civ that has been taken over :ohdear: i bet ghandi is waiting for me

I think a peace treaty lasts 10 turns, so can't be long left anyway.
it's been going for over 30 turns...
i think my game is glitched.

This has happened to me too, I even did what you did and hoarded units all around them.

On one tile the road that runs through that part of my map is just a pair of loops, the two ends of the road aren't even connected.

did you ever fix it?? :( :(
I got a weird glitch where a trade agreement of horses and uranium kept ending every turn, so i got ENORMOUS amounts of resources. I ended up with over 1000 uranium and horses, haha.
BuDSpOoNce, first, those aren't Arabs, they're the Ottomans, and second, if 10 turns have passed, I'd recommend saving, existing, and loading it again, maybe that'll fix it. If that doesn't work then I'd load up a save game from before you made peace and then make peace and hope the peace won't last for more than 10 turns.

no i ignored them and declared war on everyone else.

There's a big difference.
Yeah, pretty big difference.
It's like saying "Americans, Russians, who cares they're all Christian basically".

i got this as well
really annoying when you're all prepped to go to war
I have Civ revolution on PS3 but I could never really get into it, I'm guessing it's one of the worser ones?
Well I beat Caesar by time victory but got a high score, but on the turn after I beat him in dominance victory! Which is annoying because it's a better victory to win and I would have gotten more points but it only counted the time victory.

i know, i just forgot their names, but remembered that the leader had a turban on so the closest thing i could think of was arabs. :v:
