I wish I had civ 4 and civ 3 on steam. Having to dig out discs every time I want to play is a real hassle, but I have a small amount of available disc space. oh well :saddowns:
I swapped my Deus Ex preorder items for Civ5 DLC, MasterG is a cool guy, particularly for a bronie.
Tried playing as Moctezuma, then I realized how shitty his bonus is and switched to Oda nobunaga
Anyone know how to do a "we are in troubled times" thing? Other civs can but I do not know how to.
Trade with them and don't put anything on your side.
Trade with them and don't put anything on your side.
..but do they ever accept?
Makes montezuma and china team up and watch how they'll be doing.
..but do they ever accept?
I (accidentally) did it once and they did, so yes. I'm not sure how often they would though.
Fucking ghandi. Now I know the true feelings those that always seem to feel against him that I never understood. THAT FUCKER IS GOING DOWN.
A shame there's no Frederick in Civ V. I loved to make Bismarck vs Frederick.
Montezuma and Gandhi in war with each other. I hope Montezuma wins.
Montezuma and Gandhi in war with each other. I hope Montezuma wins.
Depends what age you're in. If you're still using Swordsmen and stuff, Monty's winning, hands down. Nearly any other age, and Gandhi's the clear winner, with his ability to near-instantly build improvements with workers running at the speed of annoying.
The streets of the Aztec cities will run red with the blood of a million soldiers. Trampled by elephants.
Montezuma lost. How do I Gandhi?
Attempt for diplomacy. Pray that he is a merciful ruler.
Then Gandhi refuses your attempts at peace. He's all out of skulls for his skull tower.
Does anyone know where I can get this game cheap? Fuckign 50€ here :pwn:
Steam
Steam

Fuckign 50€ here :pwn:
I'll try game.co.uk soon, got 6 days to do so, they are selling downloadable Civ 5 for 16£ (about 19 euro here) until the 30th and I got 20 euro to spend. :v: Hopefully it works.

I got it the other day.
Montezuma lost. How do I Gandhi?
Either go the Diplomacy route with him and he'll destroy you later, or oppose/ignore him and he'll destroy you sooner.
I just played a game of Civ4 with my friend, we both allied against the Mongols. And boy we fucked up major. I don't know but we always fail during combat. Even with superior forces and numbers, we always get fucked by the AI. It's frustrating but fun.
The Siamese empire is so damn strong. Ramkhamhaeng took over Germany, Japan, and China, has a mother load of cities giving nearly 700+ gold per turn and his damn city states keep powering him. He's now coming for me and he is best friends with Ghandi, not good
Are there any mods that allow you to just spectate while a bunch of AI nations duke it out amongst eachother?
Would be really boring if you ask me.
Would be really boring if you ask me.
Oddly enough, I've always enjoyed this too. When I played advanced wars, I'd make weird maps and then watch the ai fight on them. It's interesting in its own weird way.
That's like wanking over a bunch of idiots slapping each other in a glass box

Bought this on Saturday and I've already clocked in 20 hours. I prefer this to Civ IV there's something about it that feels better.

Part of your forces should be dedicated to hunting down scouts, workers, various wandering soldiers and razing improvements.
Watching my friend play as Rome right now. Every Civ he meets declares war on him within two turns. Because of this, he's constantly being forced to build Military Units and Military Research. He has settled 3 cities since he started and his people do not even know the secrets of pottery. The year is 1550AD :v:
