As arabia with 3 cities I had 1000 a turn in the industrial era

How aggressive are you in expanding?[/QUOTE] I put my cities where there is good resources (nearby if it's early in the game), doesn't matter where they are in regards to direction. I expand to about five cities early-on then kick-up production and gold in all my cities, ignoring military units for the most part. This can only be accomplished early-game when the other civ's can't do shit to you and only keep around enough forces to push back the barbarians. I do not scout until the renaissance era (which I mass explore the world). During the renaissance I mass buy military units and kill off the most aggressive players by the start of the industrial era. Hmm, I think the problem is that for me, I can hardly find resources. People often say "oh place cities where there's at least two resources" but it's seriously hard to keep my happiness positive then if I expand really fast.

After my cities have moderate production capabilities I try to build happiness buildings (like the colosseum) and it raises the happiness around 20 or so.

I hate it when you're making lods emone and then you realize its a golden age.... I go back making -500 a turn after....

God....damnit....England. After destroying Siam with my army of cannons I turned on England. The problem is they have a fucking city on an island one tile off the coast. Every time I try manage to get its health low enough to capture it, a ship of the line comes out of nowhere and destroys my transport ships. Decided to amass a fleet of ironclads and just surround the city.

My friend told me to take the continent by force and then build a submarine fleet around it to protect my waters.

When I first reinstalled Civ 3, I didn't realize you could turn off automatic move animations. I got a cultural victory after 14 hours, about 3/4 of it spent watching workers run back and forth.

Hello thread. Why are you on the second page? Is there a mod which lets you build multiple buildings in each city?

Speaking of game crashing, that Egypt game keeps crashing on turn 292 and I have no idea why. [editline]16th September 2011[/editline] I'm in a war with Napoleon, taken two of his cities (Chartres and Tours), made peace with three new nations, and have a massive surplus of Workers.
