One of my many Egypt games, my god are they overpowered. If you do real-world map, the location you start in is covered in luxury resources, and if you play your cards right you can BUY your own army.
I always take Tours in every game I play he ALWAYS sets that city up RIGHT next to mine. As Americans, he set it up next to Miami, as Japanese, he set it up next to Tokyo, as Egyptians, he set it up right next to capital, and with Romans, RIGHT NEXT TO ATHENS ARGH
Won my first game today. Cultural victory, I had accumulated so much gold by the end of it that I had all the city states on my side. I conquered all of one continent and cleared out Siam and England, then let the other continent quarrel among itself. Towards the end I just started shooting nukes at random cities and starting wars, then I would arm the city states with big armies and see what would happen.

I always buy them. I play Egypt. [editline]17th September 2011[/editline]
I always take Tours in every game I play he ALWAYS sets that city up RIGHT next to mine.
Strategic view crashes my game. :(
It saves my life. I can't play the other view :(
It saves my life. I can't play the other view :(
I used to not be able to but now my computer decided "k lol im going to not lag" I still play strategic because the default is weird for me now

Raging barbarians is not fun to play with.
fucking ramkhamhengeng or however the fuck it's spelt.
Everyone in my civ game is nice. I like some kind of conflict but everyone just wants to form a large alliance with me. Going for diplomatic victory because that will get me out of this game the fastest.
Everyone in my civ game is nice. I like some kind of conflict but everyone just wants to form a large alliance with me. You research the UN building and when its done they vote for who is going to be world leader. Most of the nations vote for themselves but if you make all the city-states your allies then they vote for you.

I soooooooooooooo want bridges over oceans and seas. Damn enemy boats taking all my troops.
Yeah, even more annoying when you spend a great engineer to rush a wonder and STILL get beaten to it
I'm a wonder-a-holic, I focus on production to I get the awesome bonuses that come with wonders, which in turn give me massive amounts of culture and science. And money is easy to get.
Caesar is the new Gandhi, calling it now. He declared war with me twice, just to negotiate peace with everything I had. Goddamn bitch. His army is way stronger than mine too and even his one Legion could slaughter my entire army. I accepted peace as soon as I could, seeing as how I only have three cities. [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Ceasar.jpg[/thumb]
Ghandi blasted me with nuke's AGIAN
You've officially just become a vassal state. Congratulations are in order.
First time playing Normal. Don't mock me :(
Why is it that every time Suleiman befriends me on one turn he tries to cut my balls off on the other?
First time playing Normal. Don't mock me :(
Relax. The first time I played Normal, I was simultaneously gang-raped by Montezuma and Catherine. I was playing a cultural civ, too.

It's now the modern era and nobody has made peace yet.
Raging barbarians is not fun to play with.
What are you talking about? It's amazing. It fucks over your AI opponents by constantly harassing them while all the city-states are at your mercy because of their constant harassment (they also give you diplomacy points for killing barbarians).
Everyone in my civ game is nice. I like some kind of conflict but everyone just wants to form a large alliance with me. Going for diplomatic victory because that will get me out of this game the fastest.
Same here, until one of those fuckers (Aztecs / Gandhi) comes along placing their forces outside my borders. I would let them live if they would just give me something other than a peace-treaty for a peace-treaty (because if we continue the battle I will win), but they never do. Then some of those honor bound fuckwits will denounce me (Japan / China), so I will have to kill them. At least Washington can forgive my sins. ...everything was going so well. Literally 7 out of 8 nations were in a defensive pact with me. Then suddenly out of nowhere, my closest ally Darius declared war on all sorts of people. My artillery destroyed his invasion force but still..We were so close to unification. Peace was at hand but man craves war. I just wish I had seen it sooner!

And I underestimated how much forces you need to hold of constant waves of barbarians, would've helped if I took the honour policy path.
