I agree. Let's not make war define who you are. Instead, backstabbing me and pillaging all the resources I got from CS is the most legitimate way to define yourself.
Let's not make war define who you're.
That sounds horrible and wrong to me and I want to correct your grammar but there isn't actually anything wrong with it.
I want to try out some of the new civ dlc's, but I don't feel like spending the money...arggh.

You are instead of you're, yeah, I think. I hate grammar. Has, have, don't, doesn't.. It's just so darn confusing.

I find it hard to have a production city when food is a just an annoying problem in a city. If you have a commerce city (mass food) and connect that city with your production city, will you get additional food?

Connect with a trade route, that is.
What's the best way to win a cultural victory?
I'd assume only build one city, build wonders, etc?
Civilization V GOTY edition is coming this 27th. Its just the regular game plus all the map packs and DLC (Except the two newest ones) Link
Might be worth it for anyone who hasn't got Civ 5 yet.

Actually you're not allowed to end a sentence with 'you're', it's incorrect.

Without the latest two? That's bullshit.

NINJA!
Freedom and rationalism, as are my views on real politics :v: Commerce is good depending if I have lots of coast to work with or if not honour is helpful. I usually start off with either tradition or Liberty depending on the map size and type.
The Statue of Liberty would be my favourite wonder, plus anything that boosts growth, border expansion or food supply.
My favorite wonder would be Ironworks. I find it to be a game changer and the production boost is really amazing. My favorite policy is probably Tradition/Liberty and Rationalism/Freedom.
The things I despite are Autocrazy and Order as policies (I hate them both, as you said according to my political view. Though each has its nice boost in the game).
Spread your border that way. Or get a Great Merchant and Culture Bomb that area.
Does culture bomb makes your citizens work that area or just extend the borders? I already have them in my borders.
I deleted that save anyhow. Easy is too easy for me now. I'm going for Normal or hard becuase I've heard the AI is better diplomatically-wise and friendlier than other difficulties.

It is a good discount if you don't have CIV 5, though.
Are there barbarian states in Civ5?
I'm wondering if i'm going to buy the denemark expansion.
Is it worth it?
How do I make a lot of gold? I'm Japan and I need to fuel my army.
How do I make a lot of gold? I'm Japan and I need to fuel my army.
Luxury resources, trade routes over both land and sea, market/bank/stock exchanges and of course trading with/extorting other civs.

I love their Berserker. I had a whole bunch of them and slaughtered anything in my way. The Norwegian Ski Infantry I have yet to try, though. But their bonus on snow, tundra and other tiles is useful I guess.
Their pillage bonus (Melee units don't pay any movement when pillaging) is fun to harass with.
I recommend them.

Good enough for me
I just bought all the DLC civs, but not the map and scenario packs, since I don't play scenarios most of the time.

Cut down on roads and such except between cities. It may be nice to have roads all over the place so you never have to worry about being slow to travel, but the maintenance really adds up. bulk up your profitable buildings too like Nerts said, and also avoid having more workers than you need. The best way to minimize your expenses is through small changes like that, because it adds up.

I remember when I first I started playing Civ. I placed roads on EVERY tile I owned. I didn't realise why I was losing so much gold until about 4 months later.
Helsinki was permanently in war with me and I didn't want to trigger another perma-war CS so I asked Songhai to declare war on Helsinki for a large sum of gold, GPT and some resources. He accepted, succeed and captured it. He also captured Madrid, which I gifted to China in order to get peace.
Everyone (including me :v:) has denounced Songhai because of this. I find it funny but also as a good thing because his army and empire is huge. I hold my fingers crossed for a war between him and the other Civs, or that it triggers a perma-war CS.

I was the same way. when I noticed that workers had the autobuild button for roads, I went wild.
Does this still work?

I'd like to see big CS empires.
On the 2k forums there's a suggestion if pillaging resources should give you something other than gold.

I personally think it's a great idea, but it would encourage warmongering.
They should do it though.
It's already a warmongering game, the AI still declares war for no reason
How the hell does that guy have so much happiness with that many cities?
How the hell does that guy have so much happiness with that many cities?
I had more cities than him and i had more happiness than him too.
How?
Play on settler. :v:
Well this was very strange. I had a moderate size army and out of curiosity I declared war on every Civ in my Deity game to see what would happen. Hoping that I would see my Civ get obliterated by the entire world, nothing was happening. After several turns, this happnes:

What. the. shit. I had about 700+ gold per turn

How big is "moderate"?
