And maybe you should read a history book and stop being an ignorant twat.
Well I bought Gods & Kings its great, but I think some of the content featured in G&K should of been included in the original release Civ V.
I have not played a game that lasts more than 100 turns yet because I'm picky about what world I get and where i spawn. Am i the only one like this?
I know what you mean. Nothing sucks more than just starting off in a shitty area

Wait what, steampunk? Didn't get G&K yet, please explain.

This is the dumbest thing I've read all week.
Running my first game in G&K on Warlord to mess around. Started off as Rome in the Yukon. Already met the Celts in Ontario and Manitoba and the Huns in Quebec and the Maritimes, as well as the French in California and Nevada.
Religion seems pretty interesting so far. The bonuses are quite nice. So far I'm the third Civilization to found a religion and the only one on my continent.
I haven't had much interaction with the AI so far, but they do seem to be a bit more refined in a way.
I'm getting way too OCD with this game. I play it like it's Sim City or something. I'll often reload with an enemy steals my wonder, and kept getting annoyed that my city could have had like 2 fish and six crabs if I had placed it two spots lower, but then I would have had barely any production and no marble.

Anyways. I started playing as Sweden as a small, traditional, populous empire. Got outdone by the Greeks and I realized I can't beat them when they started to win cultural influence over the city-states.
I'm trying to make a utopia here you gay motherfuckers!!
Boudica was a brilliant strategist and sacked a roman city you sexist.
And by your sheep comment you're also ignorant.
Up until she decided it would be an amazing idea to bring with them all the families and children (even the farm animals I think) to see their great triumph against the Romans (that was the reason if I remember correctly) and had them placed right behind their army like a wall.
Needless to say when they charged the Roman lines, got a face full of pila (javelins) and had to retreat, the wall of women and children didn't help (they got slaughtered).
Basically getting too full of yourself isn't a good thing in war.
Dear Americans:
Enjoy your Gods and Kings. I'll be joining you soon.
Signed

I bought Gods and Kings from Greenmangaming. I live in Europe and could install and play it yesterday, and I got 25% discount. :v:

What? Don't you need to activate it on steam first, which only unlocks tomorrow?
I bought it from GMG as well and I've been playing since Monday or Tuesday (can't remember exactly). I'm in Europe too.

I did, and I've been playing it no-problem.

this has as much potential as the Age of Empires meme.

The worst part is it was a joke and I'm in Carmarthenshire, Wales.
Silly nerds getting nerd rage.
I have this problem.
When i click set up game it just shows germany and some uncessesary shit and when i click the civillization button the entire screen just goes away and all i see is the background. When i press escape i go back to the main menu.

Damn, nuking cities is just so fun.
I'm still confused why they picked Theodora to lead Byzantium and not Justinian. I mean, did anyone ever heard about Theodora before this expansion?
Also, worst page king ever.

IIRC they answered that in an interview, it's because they needed leaders that fit the new mechanics.

I did. As a matter of fact, I knew her before I heard about Justinian. I personally would have loved it if they had modelled both of them, with Justinian talking to the player but Theodora whispering in his ear before he replied. Would've made for an interesting leaderscreen.
I still love how they have such powerful female leaders in this game.
My top three new civs have to be Boudicca, Theodora, and Dido, all female oriented.
Maria Theresa can suck a dick, though.

Also, found this on wikipedia. Obviously inspiration for the devs on their leader background:
