Yes, this is that game
And to the video above, half of that doesn't work in Coop games... That fire while retreating bullshit... the Enemy AI stands in the open and aimbots for your head, regardless if you're shooting or not, it doesn't care about cover. Once it's decided to fight you, it's going to stand anywhere and shoot, if it doesn't want to fight you, it'll just run at super human speed to some other location

I was about to point out that the fighting retreat wouldn't really work because suppression effects isn't coded in on the AI. One could argue that it could be used in PvP situations, but I'd argue that the gameplay isn't large enough to warrant it.
However the room clearing tactics/SOPs do work and are efficient.
Yeah, in Coop Flashbangs work great
Although I think every game gets the flashbang wrong. The only game that's ever made Flashbangs completely realistic was Rogue Spear. You'd have this bright mark in a spot of your screen, kind of like when a camera's flash goes off in your face, you see the flash for a while afterwards... And your hearing gets muffled... You can still see after a second or two
I just hate how Flashbangs turn your screen white for 4 or more seconds and completely cut out any sound in every game made
So damn tempted to buy this.

1 x agree
Rogue Spear's flashbang effect was excellent
Wait a minute, people still play this god-given jewel?
I lost my discs a couple of years back so I've been unable to play it. That said, I remember playing this with friends... no other game comes close it.
Still the best CQB sim hands down. Fuck you SWAT 4.

SWAT 4 is the best shouting sim.
One of the Athena Sword smgs is misaligned to the crosshair. Instead of pointing towards the middle of the screen, it points towards the top left. It annoys the hell out of me.
I've never played Athena Sword.
How is it?

No one plays MP I think. New maps are refreshing though, and one of the new SMGs is my favorite.
So guys, I'm gonna start playing again by Friday,
Friday because I need time to download it
i wish they'd make a proper rainbow six sequel with the planning and the squad customization and all that jazz
the vegas games WERE GOOD but they don't do it for me like rainbow six 3

Might be able to join you Sunday. Want to play SAS Proving Grounds?
People still play this? Gonna have to find my discs then. I remember the planning and pre-mission stuff being godly.

I couldn't get into them.
Or the Ghost Recon sequels.
The future war setting would be awesome with the original Ghost Recon's realism.
played this on gamecube a while ago, was pretty good
MP5A4 forever
<3
wow i tried to get back into this game and its like so bullshit the ai literally shoots you the very instant he sees you

I told you man
they have pinpoint accuracy
I recently reinstalled this game, and i'm having a strange problem that I haven't experienced before: The controls are unbelievably clunky and unresponsive. It feels like my aiming is locked on a grid, and whenever I walk it just sort of wobbles and then moves me forward as if I were lagging real badly on a multiplayer server. Mind you i'm in singleplayer.
I was more of a Ghost Recon guy myself, not the new ones though, those are shit. I do own all the Rainbow Six games though. I bought them when Ubisoft was telling those big tins that contained every game in the series, I mainly got it for the extra loot however. :v: It came with a hat, a belt, a long sleeve shirt, a sturdy Teflon mouse pad, and a messenger bag.
Nevermind, managed to fix the problem by restarting my PC.

PLAY ON RECRUIT.
Drop your fucking ego and PLAY ON RECRUIT. Then cuss out the devs for asshole AI.
Nostalgia.
Nostal-fucking-gia so bad.
I need to buy this again.
Yeah, play on recruit. Same damage scale, but while the AI still acts extremely robotic and stiff, etc etc, at least their reaction times aren't instantaneous and they don't have a 270 field of view combined with super human hearing.
I haven't played this since last year. I'll play on the SAS proving grounds with you guys on Saturday if I remember.
Just played SS COOP yesterday
A terrorist ran off a steel beam to his death.
:geno:
How are hostages marked on the planning map? I want to make a plan for one of the hostage missions but I'm not sure how because I have no idea where any of the hostages are.
I love this game. I know lots of you are going to disagree with me, but Vegas 1 and Vegas 2 were SOOO much better.
