It was always a battle between the TAR-21 and the g36 and not a battle of famas + small scope which got so lame in the full RVS game (because no server banned small scopes/FAMAS) good times.

Guys someone has uploaded a hidden download for the 2.0 mod that ubisoft assholes released a cease and desist for. -Revamped textures, all of which are high res and look fantastic, including a wider variety of uniforms -New weapons - realistic ironsights for all weapons (including correct sights for all optic integrated weapons, like bull ring 1.5x for the Steyr AUG, red dot for TAR21) - new lighting and other effects - Friendly AI are more responsive, and fire in single shot or double tap rather than bursts - HUD elements are changed for more immersion and realism, new tactical goggles view smaller fixes etc etc the file is about 600mb, if you would like to acquire it, PM me. I won't post the link publicly because, well, fuck Ubisoft.

Can I still play on vanilla servers with that mod?

This is easily the greatest R6 game ever made. And one of the best CQC games up there with SWAT 4.

A few questions here, Does the Steam version (gold edition) contain both expansions (athena sword and iron something)? Can I play online with the Steam version? Should I bother waiting for the summer sale and hope that it gets reduced in price (it probably will as part of a --% off everything ubisoft deal) or should I just spend the $10?

Guys I re-bought it a few hours ago and damn, I never played a game where shooting somebody was that satisfying. I love playing that snow MP map on terrorist hunt. Alone and with silenced weapons. Quite a challenge on the high difficulties, but it's awesome.

You've got to understand, this mod was intended as an unofficial expansion/megapatch to reignite the community and fix what was missing from R6. There was never any notion of playing it as just a "mod"

Of course you can play online, just need an Ubisoft account. And no don't wait for the Summer Sale, it most likely won't be affected and if it is you'll probably only save $3 USD or so. $10 isn't bad for one of the best CQC games ever, as Marine said. Kill that shit. I had huge problems with a similar sounding thing until I killed xfire and then it worked fine.

Co-op is fucking fun.
