Pretty much as i've thought/said all along, the reason for the delay was because valve dropped EPI3 and just started making HL3 on a new source engine ( i don't blame them ) it's the only logical way to explain the delay other than if they said " Oh we stopped making Half Life because we wanted to make more games series to be known by than just HL"

Valve has no good reason to make a new Counter-Strike game right now. The original and Source versions are still the top 2 games played on Steam and even the Call of Duty games haven't been able to dethrone them on the PC yet. Making a CS2 right now would be a waste of time, money, and effort on Valve's part. Besides, what could they possibly add to a realism-shooter that hasn't already been used by some other game?
I dont think that Counter-strike 2 is coming out before Half-life 3/Half-life 2 ep3.

But i think that Cs2 was Counter strike source only that they skipped the number 2 and placed "source" because it runs the "source engine".
