Deus Ex: Human Revolution Megathread V2 - Electronic Old Men Running The World

Finished the leak, will buy the game.
It's funny how many people played the leak and are now without a doubt buying the game.
Same goes for myself, plus I've always been a avid fan of the series.
Why don't companies do demos, not to the size and extent of the leak but a good demo? It will only help them rack in more sales, but whatever. Don't listen to the customer.
I think they either stand still and choke on the gas or move around and shoot aimlessly. Which is why I ask for clarification.
Since when has a developer ever had the intelligence to actually make people run around in gas shooting everywhere?
It just makes too much sense

Tis why I ask as I never know, and I've not played the leak. Assuming makes an ass out of the assumer when the assumption is not true.

Can you stop posting please?

By the way i found an exploit, those Auto-Unlocking Devices for pre-orders you can buy?
They can hack anything for you but there's only limited supply of them. You can actually pick them up again AFTER they hack something but BEFORE it disappears.
Why would you even download the game when it's only 30% or so? Ever heard of patience?
Anyone knows Sarif's computer password? I tried the obvious,[sp]Baseball, tigers dtigers[/sp]
[editline]3rd June 2011[/editline]
Whats cool about deus ex, is unlike some games if you know a password from a previous playthrough you can use it. Some games you can only use passwords once you find them legit.
Wait... you can use his computer?
My god, this game.

Groping her and stabbing her

?
24 hours run time, 16%. I'm gonna take a whole week. Ridiculous.
Deus Ex seems like it might be one of the longest FPSs in a while.

Where did you get [sp]the crossbow? I found some bolts for it but couldn't find the damn thing its self.[/sp]
I've just finished the first mission, saved all the hostages and let Zeke go. Completely ghosted it - so pure stealth, no takedowns or tranquilising.
And I was hugely impressed just from that. Best £30 I ever spent.

[sp]you basically steal it from a crime scene and don't turn it in, to some undercover cop[/sp]
[editline]4th June 2011[/editline]
@DainBramageStudios
I gave [sp]Zeke[/sp] a headshot. No way that prick is gonna walk out alive or the SWAT kills him.
Managed to save all hostages as well.

I felt sorry for him, he was obviously in over his head and backed into a corner. Besides, now he'll owe me a favour later on.
The bad guys at the start are always the real good guys. It's Deus Ex tradition.
Edit: Also a radio in a very shady apartment (looks like illegal aug surgeries) plays the UNATCO level music from Deus Ex 1.

But the NSF were genuinely terrorists, they beat up the Mole People and killed loads of people.

The radio stations apparently play all of the music from DX1. Also the Sarif theme is a remixed UNATCO theme.

Believe me, he will. And it'll be surprisingly valuable, although if you are a good hacker it will just save you some time.

Which version of the UNATCO theme? Before or after MJ12?
And Mole people ate cats. That ain't cool. :colbert:
I didn't beat up the Mole People, even if they did eat cats. They had no water :frown:

Heh, you get it [sp]during the side-quest you receive from that hooker, who hangs out near the DRB gang territory. When you sign up for this quest, you will be told that this weapon is stashed in an alleyway leading to one path to get into the DRB hideout.[/sp]
:siren: EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO MAX OUT THEIR AUGMENTATIONS AND SEE HOW THE GAME PLAYS, READ THIS: :siren:
First of all, get Cheat Engine. You can get it here: http://www.cheatengine.org/downloads.php
Then, make sure you have at least 2 praxis. Then, open dxhr.exe process in Cheat Engine and scan it the following way:
Value: <Amount of praxis points you have>.
Scan type: Exact value.
Value type: 4 Bytes.
Once it finishes, you should get a shitload of various addresses, don't panic. What you do, is you alt+tab back into the game, and spend ONE praxi (or however it's spelled) point, and alt+tab back to Cheat Engine.
Now, set scan mode to "Decreased value by" and set the value to 1. Press "Next Scan".
Alt+tab back into the game and spend another point. Alt+tab back into Cheat Engine, and press "Next Scan" again. You now should have a few addresses left (I had 5 addresses).
What you do now, is you select all the addresses that are left, and press this button:

Now alt+tab back into the game, walk around a bit, move your view a bit (a few seconds is enough, and by a few seconds I mean 3-5 secs).
After that, alt+tab back into Cheat Engine, and take a look at addresses in the address list which' values have changed. Delete the addresses which' values have changed (their value might be random numbers, such as 84653652, etc.). Now, there should be 2 addresses left which' values are ZERO (if there are more than two addresses, alt+tab back into the game, walk around and move your view around again). select both of them, right-click -> Change Record -> Value, and set it to any value you wish.
Now, alt+tab back into the game and re-open the augmentation screen.
If you did everything right, congratulations - you now have the amount of praxies you specified in Cheat Engine!
Hope this tutorial was useful.

Yes, he even somewhat trusted me on that hacker being an aug, but someone who's gonna bomb down a whole factory and a room full of hostages is no more moral grey to me.
Hope we will see in the full version what happens else.
This game is pretty cool.

You need something, boss?
Is that a demo or a leak?
Is that a demo or a leak?
I guess you could call it both. Since it's a leaked preview build.
