Snip, a tad late
I have a feeling that having vents installed somewhere will always be the downfall for any super villain.
I finally got my 44.99 put into my Steam Wallet from my cancelled pre-order for Duke Nukem, and pre-ordered Deus Ex straight away. Damn August why are you so faraway?
Wrong. [sp]Bob Page[/sp] appears in the opening cutscene for christ's sake.
Which trailer did he show up in? I need to take a second look. If you mean the press demo leak, I've not touched it so I wouldn't know. No need to get mean. :frown:

Press leak.
Press leak.
Figures. Surprising that Page actually makes an appearance. I assumed it was his voice or things you would read in game.

I think they even got the original voice actor. If not he does a damn good impression of him.

Makes me wonder if Simons will appear anywhere. Now I'm more excited for this game.

Christ, no wonder I didn't recognize him, it's so goddamn dark. Lemme check the steam one.
also, that trailer confirms that Megan [sp]is still alive after attack to Sarif. She doesn't tell Adam that she loved him in Sarif Industries. That's what she was probably going to say on the elevator ride, when Prickchard barges in.[/sp]
Hm. Guess the E3 one is different from the one on Steam. Hrmph. Also, what exactly is the significance of [h+]^3 (Cubed)?
I think they even got the original voice actor. If not he does a damn good impression of him.
this, either way they made an effort to make sure that fans of the original wouldn't be alienated which is great

You can hear her say it during the surgery montage.

Tritium ion perhaps? Would be generated after a fusion reaction, I'd wager, although I am not a physicist.

h+ is a hydrogen ion and the symbol for Transhumanism.
I wonder, will we still get the drill hand to snap necks with? It wasn't in the press build.

But that's after the attack on Sarif as well, isn't it?
I played this at E3 for a little bit, I wasn't that impressed probably because I never played the first one and because I skipped all the cutscenes. This definitely reminds me of MGS2 for some reason and I do want to possibly get this.

Well I didn't want to be a jerk and hog the thing for 30 minutes like everyone else.

This game is definitely worth it's money, but what would you expect from a guy in a DXHR thread. I don't know if you would enjoy the first game, but you might want to play it before if you don't care about graphics. Story wise it kicks ass and you get to know more about the society, the background, companies and secret organisations.
Plus I played the xbox version... so probably another reason I wasn't impressed.

the fuck you d... Naw, just kidding. It's definitely worth the money and the story is better than the incoherent weirdness MGS throws out on occasion. But for the love of god play the first one.
Whats so great about the cover system? Feels really cheapened considering leaning was already in the original.
Regenerating health feels like they are destroying all the progress the original made. Health packs were a tactical decision in Deus Ex.
TBH it feels like a console title hiding under Deus Ex's name.

Regenerating health is not nearly as overpowered as it is in other games, and while the cover system is far from perfect it's just as good as leaning.

Can't say anything bad about the cover system, it's perfect for sneaking. The health isn't regenerating, that's an implant like in DX1, you can only blame it for not consuming energy / the battery keeps recharging.
This game / the press build feels in no way dumbed down or consolized to me as an oldschool DX fan of the first hour. Go play it and finish all side missions, you'll talk different about it afterwards.
h+ is a hydrogen ion and the symbol for Transhumanism.
h^3+ is hydrogen's third isotope's ion which is tritium ion which is also called triton
please stop nitpicking

But is it balanced for lean?
h^3+ is hydrogen's third isotope's ion which is tritium ion which is also called triton

Nope, Tritium is either called T in chemistry or noted as ³H in both chemistry and physics. The number of nucleons is always written in front of the isotope to prevent confusion with charge of said atom.
Anyway enough of the nitpicking.

Actually it's past memories of them having sex.

Like flashbacks and shit.
or so I think, sounded like that.
