Us pacifists are intentionally gimped by the developers :frown:
I think every game that has a pacifist option should eschew all rewards for doing so, except at the very end after the credits where it shows each and every one of the enemies you spare go on to raise families and live happy, fulfilling lives.
The FUCKING CARDBOARD BOXES ARE OVERPOWERED. I FUCKING MANAGED TO KILL/MURDER/DESTROY/LIQUIDATE EVERYONE IN THE POLICE STATION.

Yeah, it is odd how easy it is to everyone.
Closer, but they're in the wrong order. The verb proper goes after the infinitive auxiliar. That is to say, it should be "to kill", not "kill to".

Sorry.
Hahaha... Don't be sorry, there's no harm done, I just think it's funny. This time you left out the word "to" entirely :P

I apologize.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution Megathread V3 - To Kill or Kill To?
Guys what's the password for the Guest terminal in the Police Station's Interrogation Room?
There are not. There are short-range weapons, but they all use ammo. For your melee attacks, you use special "takedown" moves, which are flashy and fun to watch, but drain your bioelectric energy.
Yeah I know takedowns are flashy and drain power, but I wished we'd have melee weapons. prod prod how I miss thou so
Friend of mine went through the leak like a hot knife through butter. He always rushed through the dialogs pressing space. He even killed Josie and the mexiterrorist who I forgot his name.
Although, he SOMEHOW managed to knock down to the floor a SWAT team member. I have NO idea how he did it. Its like he bumped into him.

Sure he didn't push an object into him?

I hate watching people blaze through dialogue, I do the complete opposite and listen to every word. :allears:
Sure he didn't push an object into him?
I don't think he even knows how to pick up stuff.
He just got a new PC, so hes on a "max fucking everything" spree.

Takedown while you weren't looking. HE DOESN'T TRUST YOU.

Nah, he didn't take him down. Its as if he pushed him to the floor.
I'm playing the leak and I'm loving it so far (I already preordered the game)
I have a question though. What difficulty do you guys recommend I should play if I only want to play in 1st person? I've tried playing Deus Ex difficulty but combat is way too difficult in first person. I literally die every time from 1 bullet when I stick my head up. Clearly the game was balanced around using the cover system which is a shame, as I like to immerse myself using 1st person.

I find Deus Ex difficulty to be very fun when you mix up third-person and first-person right. I'd say don't reject the cover system as it's very slick and IMO doesn't ruin immersion at all.
It's one of the few first person games where, I suppose the best way I can put it, is that I don't notice when it switches to third person.
Thanks guys. Maybe I'll just use the cover system then.
To be honest, I am mostly just too lazy to bother learning the buttons
Honestly if you told me the new Deus Ex game had regenerating health and a cover system I'd throw a fucking bitch fit, but it works really well.

Probably because they worked their asses off to make sure all the mechanics work with each other properly. Plus they had a long time to do it.

It fits.
Other games throw it in because it's a mainstream thing to do or whatever. In this game it fits in with everything.
Kinda reminds me of Crysis 2 multiplayer, when people said CoD style gameplay fits it more than in CoD itself.
I don't even get why people don't like cover systems, lean is just silly and awkward.

You mean where you sway side to side like a fishing boat in rough waters?
I'm playing the first Deus Ex and I got to say it's pretty fun. It's like I'm going back to 2002!

The only reason PC gamers consider lean to be such a godly feature is that it uses the Q and E keys, so is therefore pretty much impossible on consoles. It is, for the most part, totally useless in most games.
I'm about 5 hours into the leaked version and this game is SOOOOO much better than I expected. I'm glad I preordered this 2 months ago.

And I agree, the cover system is a lot better than a lean button. I was part of the "against cover system" crowd before I played the leaked version and I can say It's changed my mind about it. I like it better this way.

I'll admit I rarely, if ever, use lean. I don't understand why people throw a fit when it's removed from games.
Because it's proof it was a game made for PC first and not consoles. It was never a big enough feature for console ports to add it in, so games that have it were certainly PC first.
Really, I opposed cover because I thought it was gimmicky and crouching was plenty, but cover was implemented amazingly well so I've become a believer.
