I don't get the control scheme bitching. First thing I did was rebinding the keys so they match games like Half-Life etc.
Yeah I'm nitpicking, but if you want to play a long game, isn't that the first thing you do?
is there a way to get into the convention centre? also is there a list of side missions in the leak so I can check if I have done them all
You can't get in there except for the lobby and toilets
We are all Deus Ex fans here, so... yesh!

also you could try the press build, Eidos officially said that they don't care.
They did? For real?
I never fully understood the control scheme in Deus Ex. Hell, I don't even know how to reload and I'm already in Paris :v:
I just rebound it to R. It was originally the colon key. You have the option to bind and rebind keys. Hell you can bind an action to two keys. Don't see what else you'd want.
They did? For real?
It's all a marketing secret.

There are so many loose ends in the leak that you'll be so hyped.
They did? For real?
well, they even allow to discuss it on their own Eidos forums, but I heard they don't want screenshots about it there (maybe obsolete). actually they are somewhat encouraging.

If they really said that they don't care then I'll try it.

cheers, guess that mean you will be back in Detroit later on hope there is some more side missions again
Be sure to kill the punks in the Detroit convention centre, they will shoot you just for hanging around there.

they deserve it
Just smack em to the ground and stab em with your wristblades.

I didn't realise I could reload until about 2/3 in the game.
Even then, I didn't use it because you lose a clip if you reload early.
I was expecting DE3 to have the realistic Waste-Clip-when-reloading-early mechanic, which annoy me because I've grown a habit of reloading after every kill, but its not in the game, which is awesome and helps conserve the rare ammo for high powered weapons like snipers.
ok ill take a chance and get the build

In the original Deus Ex, no, you don't. You keep every unused bullet.

No, you lose the clip.
Hey guys, does anyone know how the hell to beat the beef cake [sp]towards the end of the FEMA facility?[/sp] I was hosting a stream to show people how fucking OP he is, but I honestly don't know what the hell to do.

Explosives and bullets.
Lots of them

If you were watching the stream, you'd see that I threw lots of grenades at him, used typhoons, and threw explosive barrels at him. Oh and unloaded 3 mags of my assault rifle, emptied my SMG, and emptied my sniper rifle INTO HIS HEAD.

First of all, he's called Barret.
I killed him by throwing a few concussion grenades, remote explosives directly at his feet, and shooting him with the AR afterwards. The rocket launcher earlier in the level is also very useful, I'd take that instead of a sniper, seeing as it does more damage to Barret. Don't waste your Typhoon, its only useful for taking out groups of enemies that are unarmored. Normal Frag grenades should also do a bit of damage, but not as much as the RDEs.
Things that don't work are the barrels and SMG fire, because the barrels are not as dangerous as your plastic explosives, and SMG bullets don't penetrate his armor.

His head isn't armoured
Okay, so I haven't dled the leak (because I don't want to spoil the game for myself). Is it as excellent as people say it is? How much closer did they stick to DE 1? Did they add on to the things that DE1 kept simple? (For example, did they add a lockpicking and hacking minigame, which was something DE1 lacked)

So you're saying I have to start the entire game over? I used all my det packs, and I never picked up the RPG.
Why is the first Deus Ex so good? I've been playing it over several days and despite it's ancient AI and graphics , it's so much fun.

With so many games striving for realism what appeals to me is the underlying silliness in everything about it, the story, the dialogue, the weapons, and the locations are actually really funny and it makes the whole game enjoyable, well for me anyway.

I actually prefer the first to Human revolution. Sure, HR is great, and it has lots of eye candy, but it doesn't feel like the first game. It doesn't feel like I HAVE to be silent, or I have to keep my weapons in my pockets. HR just feels like, if I do things right I can silence everybody in the building. Deus Ex wasn't like that.
No, you lose the clip.
Nope. Check your ammo counts before and after. The magazine count goes down by one because you now have a partial magazine, but the actual bullet count is unaffected.

I found myself laughing to myself in the human revolution leak when I went down the elevator and jensen quite literally said that he was entering a [sp]fema concentration camp[/sp]. Just because of how ridiculous the conspiracy theory is in real life. Reminded me of the first game in that sense.
I wasn't able to save the hostages. :saddowns:
Is the game worth starting over just to save them?

I wouldn't really say so, can you not just load an earlier save? Much like the first game, its wise to quick save a lot on this.

I'd say no because it's not the whole game. Though I don't know if we see any ramifications in the leak as I did not save them either
