Trained Swimming + Tech 1 Aqualung = No need for Advanced Swimming
Sometimes swimming can really screw you over. Like on the Cathedral. I figured I'd go for a dive and jump up behind the cathedral from the old well, only to find both paths closest to me were locked and I didn't have enough time to pick them before a bot showed up around the corner, and if I wanted to sneak around I had to somehow sneak by a security bot.
I'm glad I died because when I reloaded I just went straight in towards the front door with no hassle.

Also, I'm pissed.
I found an augmentation canister in Everett's lab and installed EMP Protection because I figured nothing else could occupy its' slot.
10 minutes later I find a canister with optical cloaking and radar cloaking and I can't install it.
So is there any way I can remove that useless augmentation so I can install one of these new godlike ones?
my avatar needs some AUGS and i also put points into swimming
Advanced swimming gives faster swim speed. I'm not spending 10 minutes in a river to get where I need to be, darn it. And you should've waited until it passed on by. And even then, you can sneak around it and go up that weird vine thing that I don't recall the name of since French things sound funny.
Rated M for Mature... pretty much as everyone here expected:
[sp]Players can sometimes make choices that result in the death of innocent characters: during one sequence, an injured man asks to be "put out of his misery"-the main character can then administer a morphine overdose.
"Civilians can also be killed directly, though this may negatively affect players' progress. As the game progresses, alcoholic beverages (e.g., beer, vodka, cocktails) can be purchased and consumed to reduce damage, resulting in a screen-blurring effect. In one mission, players can plant "illegal drugs" in a character's residence; marijuana products (i.e., "cigaweed") are occasionally referenced in the dialogue.
"Some missions contain sexual material: a brothel room containing a sex toy on the bed; dialogue with prostitutes (e.g., "They want me to get augmentations . . . for the customer's pleasure. It's sick" and "[W]e can find a quiet spot . . . Do you have enough money for me, sexy?"). The words "f**k" and "sh*t" can be heard in the dialogue." [/sp]

heh, I hope Adam can do drugs, like JC in DX1
Could someone make a .gif avatar of Mr. Jensen for me, please?
[editline]22nd June 2011[/editline]
WHOAH, Jensen sounds like JC.
[editline]22nd June 2011[/editline]
Sometimes.
Apparently the 'true' ending if you go by continuity. (Invisible War that is)
Wonder if we'll get that 'multiple ending' approach in HR.
Actually the "true ending" going by Invisible war is all of the endings... At the same time! Basically the devs said that no matter what JC choose all the other shit ended up happening one way or another. Not a bad way to get around multiple endings I think.

Any specific vids you want a part from?
Any specific vids you want a part from?
I'd pick one from the pre-rendered ingame movies.

Adam Jensen sounds like Walton Simons
:aaa:
So, of all the baddies you've met so far, who do you think takes the top spot as the baddest of the bad?
Bob Page
Manderley
Gunther Hermann
Anna Navarre
Walton Simons
Barret
Anyone I missed since I've not played the leak.
Probably Bob Page. I hope we can [sp]see more of him further in Human Revolution.[/sp]
If not him, then Namir.

Should have used Shifter

Anna Navarre and Jelena Fedorova are both sociopaths, so they get my vote. Fedorova is the worst, she enjoys killing civilians.

Namir. He's like the leader of Barret's group and he's fucking awesome. Evil as hell but at the same time heavily interesting.
[sp]That's my point, I don't like this whole JC/Helios as supreme leader ending and it's even worse in IW. In DX1 I've picked the Illuminati one, Tong's ending would only cause chaos and act as a temporary solution.
Too bad there wasn't a decent Illuminati ending in IW, those albino agents where insanely silly to me. I've picked the ending with Paul and JC.[/sp]
[editline]22nd June 2011[/editline]
spoiler tagged because some just started playing dx1/iw to catch up with the story
Well in Deus Ex, all the endings are canon: [sp]JC merges with Helios, destroying Area 51 in the process. The resulting collapse allows the Illuminati to consolidate and regain power.[/sp]
The Helios ending in Invisible War was very satisfying personally. [sp]Ultimately, humanity needed a radical change in the way it operated in order to truly progress and survive. Helios perfected democracy and still maintained freedom. The Templars and Omar essentially brought the downfall of civilization, whilst the Illuminati may mean well, but they ultimately only offer more corruption and an increasing rich/poor divide.[/sp] To me, the Helio ending seems like the logical conclusion to the storyline.
Namir. He's like the leader of Barret's group and he's fucking awesome. Evil as hell but at the same time heavily interesting.
Yeah, but being awesome isn't exactly being the baddest of bad, at least for me.
In that case I'd pick Walton Simons because he's a smug but doesn't mind getting his hands dirty.
still sticking with Fedorova
I can't bring myself to kill Gunther Hermann.
After all, all the man ever wanted was some Lemon Lime.

The guy [sp]kills hundreds maybe thousands and goes home to his family. Then while he's there, he seriously rips into Ben Saxon about being an orphan.[/sp]
Now THAT is smug.
I'm going to go with Fedorova because she's the only one who makes me want to punch a wall. That smile in the trailer. Ugh.

*Oh-range.
No, wait guys, I'm going to go with [sp]David Sarif[/sp] :downs:

You mean Namir's back story in Icarus Effect?
Any specific vids you want a part from?
One where he looks badass.
Impossible, he looks badass in everything.

this gets me always in this thread, because I usually drink orange soda when I strive for something refreshing.
Anybody up for a psychopath-stream later this night?
