Sorry if I'm a bit tardy. Also, the polar bear isn't crying because augmented eyes don't have lacrimal glands.

I wonder what the hell this could be...
edit: More Q/A time taken from http://eidosmontreal.tumblr.com
Will enemies attack you if you go against them without weapons?
Why wouldn’t they? Do you really believe because you wear glasses that people will stop hitting you? C’mon!
In some gameplay footage the game's graphics appear slightly dated, can we expect to see good quality graphics in the final product or were sacrifices made?
The best way to judge it is to play the final product when it’s out because gameplay footages are not always presented the way they should and they can make your game look odd at times. That being said, when you have a huge game like ours, it’s hard to have every single part of the game to be more awesome than the next. So, quality might vary from time to time but I can ensure you that we really worked hard to make it as gorgeous as possible all the time!
Any clues on what we can expect in terms of Xbox 360 achievements / PS3 trophies? Will some be non story related?
The good news is that we have a throng of secret achievements that you’ll only discover when you play the game or when your “quick-on-the-trigger” friend find them out before you and post them on the net within the minute with more efficiency than Chloe at CTU!
But in the end, do you really want to spoil your fun? In the end, it’s your call, after all, you’re paying the 60 bucks.
Will Human Revolution have call girls that follow you around an area?
Trust me, you don’t want that. They’re expensive, you don’t know their work ethics, and on top of that, they’re just selling the shallow dream. Adam is better than that and so are you!
I recall reading, or hearing from somewhere, that Adam doesn't actually go to Hong Kong. Does he go to another asian city then? Tokyo perhaps? I ask because Hong Kong was one of my favorite sections from the first game, with all the exploration and hidden stuff that you could do and find there. If yes, will it also have similar explorability as well as a secret or two?
Well, if all secrets and hidden areas were a trademark of Hong Kong than 99% of videogames would be set there! (LOL!) Jokes aside, I really get your question – don’t worry, it’s not because we’re not visiting Hong Kong that we don’t have other maps in that style with plenty of hidden stuff.
Is the PC version looking as good as the PS3 version yet? The PC stuff shown so far looks a lot earlier in dev than the PS3 stuff you rolled out during E3.
It looks better. Reassured?
have you read neuromancer ?
I’m guilty, I didn’t. I read “Snow Crash” and “Diamond Age” a long time ago instead.
Can players play basketball, like in the first two games? That would be awesome! You can literally add hours to the game just playing basketball!
“Indeed, it would be awesome! Can’t wait to play the game myself to see if we implemented something like that that would have been a nod to the old games! August can’t come fast enough!”
Editor’s note: Jf really doesn’t know…

Will deus ex human revolution have DLC like deus ex animal revolution?
No comment. Actually, why think about DLC when this great game is not even out yet!? It’s not like you will complete it in a weekend, right? No… Don’t tell me you actually plan to stay up until your done!? Regardless, I will totally ignore your question!
We can combat, social or stealth right? Can i be a ninja? Killing all bad guys or good guys in stealth or do i have to just "stun/imobilize" them?
The primary modes of playing are combat & stealth. I mean, you choose whatever you want. There is no concept of stealth or combat mission. It’s up to you to figure it out. As for social & hacking, they’re complementing the two primary modes to extend the possibilities in both or as general means of exploration.
Regarding being a ninja, we have different means to accommodate your evil plans. So, some deadly weapons are also quite stealthy.
Are shot enemies going to leave blood stains on the ground / pools of blood under their bodies? You can see that in some of the screenshots while they don't appear in the gameplay videos. We want those little, morbid details!
Yeah, there will be blood but that’s pretty much about it. We, starting with me, didn’t want to turn this game into a gore fest. Violence needs to feel visceral to some extent, because it shouldn’t be perceived as something light-hearted, since I don’t think it is. We didn’t want to glorify violence, and I hope we avoided this trap as much as possible. The only times where we pushed the graphic aspect a little further is when it was serving a purpose in the story; that it had state something.
are we meet in DX:HR the Parents from Nicolette DuClare or from Maggie Chow ?
Errr… There is someone out there that is really obsessed by the parents of every single character of DX1! Don’t ask me about Jojo Fine’s parents next, ok?
(One of the previous questions was "Will we meet the parents of Louis Pan in this game?" -Tecman)
the first deus ex didn't shy away from explicitely going into real world conspiracy theories (ones that are prominent even today), will this game be equally as topical and relevant to the 'conspiracy theories' floating around today?
Albeit the fact that our game is fictional I hope that it can convey some of those aspects for those who are looking for it.
Hello! For the Xbox 360 version of HR, will there be multiple thumbstick control settings (such as Southpaw, or more importantly: Legacy)? I'm a rather old school gamer and greatly prefer to play on Legacy setting (the left thumbstick controlling moving forward and turning left/right) as opposed to Default (the left thumbstick controlling moving forward and strafing).
Unfortunately, the control scheme of DXHR required a lot of thoughts and compromises for ergonomic sake. So, like the lefties in the 50s, someone will have to crack the whip on your hands every time you dare trying to play it southpaw style! One day you’ll be healed!
No legacy either… But hey! I got into Twitter and survived, so can you with our control scheme!

NOTE: Shamless, but delicious copy-pasta from the thread on SA forums, kudos to Tecman.

I don't think that you even could in DX1. I tried multiple times, but it just didn't go! I even tried right below the hoop, but it didn't go through.
I got it through, but I dunno if it gave XP in DE1 vanilla. In Shifter it did.
It's fucking impossible in HR.
AE doesn't get the 10k ingame credits and the Jensen figurine. I think that's the only difference between the two besides the box art. Was hesitant about pre-ordering the CE but I ended up doing it after seeing the leak.
Yeah AE gets 10k ingame creds. Only difference between AE and CE is Figurine, Boxart and numbering.

I actually never tried to shoot basketball in DE. May have been one of those 'Achievement bonus' types.

After hearing that fucking Bethsoft didn't even start PC development for Skyrim, I decided to preorder this instead. GOTY all years.

They're just going to port it to PC. Oh well :sigh:
DE is superior anyway!

Nothing new about it, Fallout is a shitty port, Skyrim won't be an exception UNLESS they will do it like they said on E3 : focus on pc master race.
Wait what's that about Skyrim being ported
They won't.

Apparently the console version is the baseline and they would use that to improve the PC version. Crossing fingers..

That's retarded, every console port a failure.
why are we talking about that shit anyway, DX : HR is so damn optimized for PC it's amazing.
I hope they wont release any DLC.
I hate DLC... Unless its free.

I have a question about the Motherly Ties mission: [sp]How do I get Officer Wagner to talk? I messed up when I talked to him and searching his office didn't help.[/sp]
