To play the leak, or not to play the leak... I can't decide D:
Play it. I don't understand why you would think it would ruin the game for you. Demos never ruined games.
I'd click play on Steam and nothing would happen. Tried various things to fix it but nothing worked and I uninstalled it. I'll reinstall in August to get ready for HR.
You have purchased it with real money, so logically you have the right to torrent it if your purchased version stops working.
IW really isn't that important but its kind of nice to see how the story goes.
I reckon it was a pretty shit story in comparison.

I liked the whole subplot of the coffee shops.
IW wasn't that bad. It just wasn't as good as Deus Ex.
I assume that you cannot enter Malik's chopper at the end of the leak?
Deus Ex: Human revolution given a '15' certificate by the BBFC: http://www.bbfc.co.uk/ADM279729/
Not surprising - the BBFC classify games based on the attitudes and beliefs of British citizens, as opposed to many European countries (PEGI).
As always, you can read detailed comments on the content of the game. These details will be available on or after 16/08/11.
Also, just for fun...

A video a friend and I made about the troubles of Zyme, and JC's struggles with Zyme.

This. I would have liked IW, if not for the goddamn loading screens. My God, they were everywhere.
Also, something needs to be done about the loading screens in HR, there aren't as many as in IW, but you could take a nap in the time it loads.

Don't want to sound optimistic but it's still a beta so yeah. And I think they weren't that long. :raise:
the leak was meant for the press, and they obviously must have made some changes to make it more portable and stuff
I'm JC Denton and what is this

I wonder how many copies of the same mod I have, and I wonder how many of those are AMK
Wait, this isn't a STALKER thread. Not until we're getting that drawn picture. So "Get out of here Stalker!" :v:
Wait what the fuck how did it end up here
The secret power of russian witchcraft is the infinite power of nano-augmentation.
In all honesty the first is easier due to the AI being so easy to manipulate and get around. HR really does improve on certain things, AI obviously being one of them. The whole highlighting thing is not a problem at all in my opinion. You can easily miss stuff even with it on.
The AI has his ups and downs.
Fuckers at the police station almost fooled me. One of them would be walking away from me and while walking away, he would look back once in a while like "GOTCHA!...oh..." while searching for me.
They also do quite the nice searches and stuff. Although they sometimes feel like they have 20 bullets in their pistols rather then 10.
I forgot what were the downsides though. There were some, but forgot them.
Also like how they programmed some NPC's to do special tasks, like the guy who was after Tindal. If you listen to him, he wont sound like the generic NPC trying to kill you. He'll be shouting for Tindal.
A really nice touch. And the AI can be deadly even on easy difficulty.

I had a crash yday on one of those. They can be a bit long at times, but I don't mind them. As long as they aren't Doom3 big and numerous like HL2, I'm sort of ok.
I just found the sidequest with the undercover police officer. I'd found the crooked officers apartment before but not realised its purpose. Is there a way to disable the LAMs short of shooting them?

Crouch walk slowly up to them and use twice just like nades on the first game.

Or throw a concussion inside.
I didn't feel like reloading the game, so I just threw in a nade and bam. Done.
i like the variety of nades in the first game. lets hope the scrambler grenade makes it in as well.

They blow up as soon as I enter the room :frown:
They blow up as soon as I enter the room :frown:
Hold down your 'Walk' key as you move while crouched.
I will probably play this like I played the first Deus Ex.
Only guns I will end up using are the pistol and the tranq rifle.
Though in the first game I mainly used the Dragon tooth sword because it was so ridiculously overpowered that it killed almost anything with one hit.
I dump the tranq rifle, I'll go straight for the PEPS and that pistol with the quantum upgrade, so I can stun or shoot through armour. though I'm afraid PEPS ammo might be the most limited in the game
You can also safely detonate the mines by leaving the door closed, going into cover on one side of the door, and jumping to the other side.

I usually throw something in there and enjoy when the whole place gets blown to smithereens
