Scare mongery imo, but you need to know jic.
In the "pictures" they showed, these hackers people type like retards or children. Are they that really that fucking illiterate?
By the way, how on earth is Sony supposed to have your email password?
By the way, how on earth is Sony supposed to have your email password?
They never said they had your email password, it was just suggested that you change your password if you happened to use the same password for your email as your psn.
Well I'm in the clear.
As far as they know I'm a 45 year old black man named Roylee Neese who lives in Alaska.
And my CC info on my banned account has expired two years ago.

Further evidence that it's a load of horse shit.

I don't see how "thats what I heard" and someone saying "pwnt" is credible evidence.

That has to be the least convincing "evidence" I've ever seen in my life.
I still don't see what someone is going to be able to do with a competent person's CC info. As soon as I found out about this ( and a couple of friends of mine) we actually went to the same bank together and told them to watch out for unusual activity. A guy I know that works at the BoA was pretty cool. He basically said "Yeah we had the shit covered days ago. We actually got a call from a rep. of Sony to do the same exact thing. So yeah you are straight.

Another Q&A from the playstation blog.
Q: Will our download history/friends list/settings be affected by the PSN downtime?
A: No, they will not.
Q: Will trophies that were earned in single-player offline games during the outage be intact when the service resumes?
A: These trophies are intact and will be re-synched when the network is once again operational.
Q: Will my PS+ cloud saves be retrievable?
A: Yes, once PSN is restored.
Q: What if we have a subscription to PS3 MMOs DC Universe Online or Free Realms? Will we get compensation for that?
A: From Sony Online Entertainment: “We apologize for any inconvenience players may have experienced as a result of the recent service interruption. As a global leader in online
gaming, SOE is committed to delivering stable and entertaining games for players of all ages. To thank players for their patience, we will be hosting special events across our game portfolio. We are also working on a “make good” plan for players of the PS3 versions of DC Universe Online and Free Realms. Details will be available soon on the individual game websites and forums.”
Q: Will there be a goodwill gesture for the time we haven’t been able to utilize PSN/Qriocity?
A: We are currently evaluating ways to show appreciation for your extraordinary patience as we work to get these services back online.
MGS4 is a nostalgia attack.
I hope this is more then a "I am sorry" letter.
I would guess that it would probably be a sale. It seems only logical as they are trying to lure back in customers after this, and a sale would most likely do that.
S There may be new features as well since they're rebuilding the network. Firmware will definitely jump to at least 3.61.
Additional details are available on the official blog posts.
Cross-game voice chat?!
Cool, it comes back online after our camping trip

You're post is a load of shit if that's what you actually meant.
I hope this is more then a "I am sorry" letter.
Actually all I wanted was for them to say sorry.
Right when it comes back online they will have Shadow of the Colossus and ICO pack ready to go.
And I will live like this whole ordeal never happened.
I can dream can't I?

Are you literate?
If so then read my past posts, and after doing so I sincerely hope that you manage to figure out what I have been trying to get through your head.
If you need me to spell it out for you:
I am saying that the article claiming that credit card information is being sold is full of shit because one of it's supposed pieces of evidence also claims that Sony has your email passwords, which is fucking stupid.
Do you need anything else clarified?

You didn't word the original post the best way. It could have gone both ways.
They will definitely give us something for having to wait, what 2 weeks? For the service to come online.
Just a way of getting you back onto it really.
It's probably gonna be some free items for home.
It's probably gonna be some free items for home.
Or a free, probably bad indie game.
It's probably gonna be some free items for home.
If that happens tears will leak through the palm that will be on my face
Actually all I wanted was for them to say sorry.
You'll probably never hear them say that. From a legal standpoint it's suicide as it admits a level a guilt and with all the potential lawsuits they're about to face they don't want to do that.
Or a free, probably bad indie game.
Or a free dynamic theme.
I think they should make Cloud Storage free for all PSN users forever.
PAIN for free is probably what they're planning =/
